Emmerdale finally confirms who killed Ray Walters following epic flashback week in ITVX release

Wonder no more – we finally have the answer to who killed Ray Walters (Joe Absolom) in Emmerdale.

In early January, people saw someone dragging the criminal’s body through the village. Later, the body was discovered in the back of Jai Sharma’s (Chris Bisson) van, and he didn’t realize it was there, during the special episode that crossed over with Coronation Street.

Until now, we haven’t known who killed him, even though this week’s flashback episodes have introduced several potential suspects.

Now, each piece of the puzzle has been pieced together to give viewers the bigger picture.

Ray found his mother, Celia Daniels, dead and stood over her body. He then went upstairs to see if she had, in fact, killed Bear Wolf. Horrified by the sight of Bear’s body, Ray immediately left and went to Laurel Thomas’s cottage, hoping she would run away with him and start a new life.

However, Dylan Penders (Fred Kettle) had warned Laurel about his wrongdoings, and she was horrified at the idea of allowing a drug dealer into her house. Her son, Arthur (Alfie Clarke), felt the same way and immediately went to confront him.

Ross Barton took a knife from Marlon Dingle and decided to deal with Ray himself. He also stole a shotgun from Butler’s Farm, but his plans changed when he unexpectedly found April Windsor.

Paddy Dingle (Dominic Brunt) found out from Dylan that Bear had been held as a slave for months and had tragically died. Overcome with emotion, Paddy rushed outside and confronted Dylan, urgently demanding an explanation.

Ray intimidated his daughter, Eve, believing he was powerless to change the situation and that the police wouldn’t intervene. Arthur was arriving soon, and after dealing with his own issues, he quickly retrieved a bag containing drugs and money from his vehicle.

Graham Foster, who had just returned, was secretly watching events unfold. He’d previously told his former partner, Rhona Goskirk, that he would find Ray and make him answer for what he did to April and Dylan.

Seeing Ray alone, Graham quickly tried to overpower him, managing to drag him into the village hall and pin him to the floor. However, Joe Tate, curious about the struggle, overheard the noise and came to see what was happening, stopping Graham in his tracks.

Graham knew that he couldn’t risk Joe finding out that he was alive, and scarpered.

Seeing his chance to escape, Ray headed for Dylan. He pulled the teenager into Tenant House and immediately attacked Paddy.

Dylan pleaded with him to stop, but then Bear unexpectedly reappeared. The retired wrestler immediately grabbed Ray in a headlock, choking him right before Paddy and Dylan’s eyes.

They screamed out to him, but before long, Ray slumped to the ground. He was dead.

Paddy is still trying to find his father, who he’s been separated from for a long time. After what happened, did he run away, and if so, where did he go?
