The most surprising reveal from the Emmerdale and Coronation Street team-up was that Graham Foster (played by Andrew Scarborough) hadn’t actually died. He was the caretaker of Joe Tate and Kim Tate’s third husband.
Yes, that man has seemingly survived a cremation. Anything can happen in soapland!
Just before Graham’s apparent death, Pierce Harris attacked him violently. Harris hit him with a log, dragged him through the woods, ran him over with his car, and ultimately drove him off a cliff.
The two men had one last fight, and Graham was defeated when someone hit him on the head with a torch.

After a while, Priya Kotecha and Billy Fletcher discovered the body. Detective Inspector Dent arrived soon after, and was shocked by the violent scene. Kim arranged a private funeral, choosing to grieve alone.
Nearly six years have passed, and Graham has returned. Witnesses saw him driving a van with Jodie Ramsey (played by Olivia Frances Brown) inside, who was restrained. While he was checking out a major car crash up ahead, Jodie managed to break free and escape.

I was on the edge of my seat watching Kit Green, the officer from Corrie, chase after her through the woods, shouting for her to stop. It was terrifying to see she had cable ties around her wrists! And honestly, I’m dying to know how she knows Jodie and Graham – that connection has to be huge!
Joe was injured and lying by the side of the road when Graham stood over him, then ran away. Seeing Joe, whom he hadn’t seen in a long time, reminded Graham of the past, and he later went to the hospital to check on him.
Joe, who was recovering from his injuries, seemed to recognise his figure stood in the doorway.

Tonight on the show, Joe suspected something wasn’t right, so he met a private investigator at The Hide Bistro. He was joined by his fiancée, Dawn Fletcher (Olivia Bromley), and DI Dent, who she’d brought along to verify Graham’s death after she discovered his body.
However, what Joe didn’t realise was that Dent wasn’t being exactly truthful.
I was immediately struck by a detail as she sat in her car – a striking tattoo of a sword on her arm, with the motto ‘Who Dares Wins’ inked beneath it. It hinted at a hidden past, and was followed by a phone call that only deepened the mystery. She seemed to be carefully controlling the information she’d given to someone named Joe, telling the person on the other end of the line – likely Graham – that she’d only shared what was absolutely necessary. It’s a small moment, but it screams intrigue and suggests she’s playing a very careful game.
Did Dent help Graham fake his death?
