A new trailer for Emmerdale hints at some major upcoming storylines. Viewers can expect a shocking reveal from Bear Wolf, the discovery of a body, and Cain facing a serious health scare.
This week on the ITV soap opera, viewers learned that Bear is not only still alive, but was also responsible for the death of Ray Walters (Joe Absolom).
Recent scenes hint at a major new development: Bear is finding it difficult to return to normal life in the village after being trapped by Celia and Ray, and Paddy fears he’s struggling to handle it.
Ruby then discovers him and asks about Anya (Alia Al-Shabibi), and he simply tells her that Anya is gone.
The trailer then shows a police investigation, likely sparked by Bear telling someone about Anya.
The video also shows Cain Dingle anxiously awaiting his biopsy results at the hospital.

The trailer hints at future storylines involving Graham, who rejoined the show earlier this January.
Kim Tate delivers a stark message to her step-grandson Joe, telling him she doesn’t think it’s possible to resurrect the dead, as a mysterious figure unexpectedly appears.
Graham emerges, telling her: “You are so wrong”.
ITV has teased that this is the first of four new trailers set to be released this month.
I just saw the trailer, and it’s amazing! It even includes Emmerdale stars Bradley Riches and Lisa Riley sharing their reactions to all the drama – you really should check it out below.

Emmerdale’s producer, Laura Shaw, revealed that the show started 2026 with a dramatic and memorable episode on January 5th. Viewers were hooked by big storylines including the return of Graham, the sudden death of Ray, and a shocking medical diagnosis for Cain.
I’m so excited because the best is yet to come! We’ve got tons of amazing, high-quality TV shows lined up for the next few weeks, and they’re going to build on all the drama and excitement we’ve already seen with the Corriedale storyline. It’s going to be incredible!
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 8pm on ITV1. Stream on ITVX.
