As a passionate cinephile, I’m eagerly anticipating next week, where Joe Tate, the character portrayed by Ned Porteous in Emmerdale, will devise a plan for retribution against Doctor Crowley, played by James Hillier. This follows the shocking revelation that this suspicious physician is courting Kim Tate, played by Claire King, under an assumed identity.
Kim brought Joe and Dawn Fletcher (also known as Olivia Bromley) to meet ‘Eddie’. However, Joe was taken aback when he recognized that ‘Eddie’ was none other than Crowley, who had previously swindled Joe out of his money through extortion and kidnapping.
Now Crowley wants Kim’s fortune, but Joe isn’t going to take this lying down.
As Kim unknowingly gets nearer to Eddie, Joe becomes determined to prevent him from deceiving her, leading him to request a private conversation with Crowley.
Crowley arrives and soon finds himself facing the barrel of a gun.
However, when Joe tries to counteract Crowley using the weapon, will he manage to take control, or will he end up subdued again by the cunning doctor’s tricks?
“Joe’s got a bit wet now,” she joked.
“It’s great to have someone else in there.”
The actress has promised a “nasty twist” when Kim is made aware of Crowley’s true intentions.
We can only hope this involves a triumphant Kim turning the tables on her new nemesis!
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1. Stream on ITVX.
