Moira Dingle is in a tough spot on Emmerdale. She’s been sent to prison, wrongly accused of murdering Anya and Celia Daniels.
Fans were concerned about the character’s fate and speculated that Natalie J Robb might be leaving the show, but the actress has reassured them that she’s staying, at least for the time being.
In an interview with The Mirror, actress Robb discussed the possibility of her character being written off the show. She explained that if that were to happen, the producers would likely tell her directly that her time on the series was ending and that this would be her final appearance. She expressed relief that she had recently been offered a new contract, suggesting her character wouldn’t be leaving anytime soon.
Honestly, when I first heard about what was happening, I didn’t expect to be involved in leaving. I just had no idea how long this would last or how serious things were going to get.

Robb explained that Moira is completely overwhelmed and feels like her world is falling apart. She’s especially worried about Cain, and strangely enough, focusing on him is helping her cope. She’s struggling to accept that everything is really happening.
I’m so excited to hear that even while in prison, Moira won’t go down without a fight! They’ve said we’ll see her with a few bruises and scrapes – maybe a black eye and some scraped knuckles – but she’ll always stand her ground. It’s great to know she’ll be fighting back, even in that situation.
Robb joined the cast of Emmerdale in 2009 and has been a regular fixture ever since. Fans will be happy to know she’s continuing in her role as Moira, though what’s next for the character is still unknown.
