Be aware: This article contains spoilers from the latest episode of Emmerdale, which aired today, Friday, September 26th, 2025, and is now available to watch on ITVX.
In Friday’s Emmerdale (September 26th, 2025), Robert Sugden, played by Ryan Hawley, is shocked by an unexpected message.
Now that his half-brother John’s crimes have been revealed – including falsely accusing him of harming John’s husband, Aaron Dingle – Robert thinks he’s in the clear, but he doesn’t realize more trouble is coming.
Even though Robert saved Aaron’s life, he’s been told to avoid him, and he’s respecting that wish.
Fate will bring these characters together again in the newest episode of the soap opera.

Aaron is extremely angry with his uncle, Caleb Miligan, for assisting John in escaping, and their confrontation at the café worries Robert.
Robert seeks out Aaron, and because he understands Aaron well, he looks beyond his initial hostility, which allows them to have a deeply personal conversation.
We won’t give away any details about what happens next, but it’s always a pleasure to watch Hawley and Miller act together.
There’s a good scene coming up where Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) really starts to openly dislike Robert.
Later, Robert receives a text that leaves him looking over his shoulder.
Next week’s episodes reveal a connection between Kev, portrayed by Chris Coghill, and Robert, with Kev actively searching for Robert.
Who is Kev to Robert, and will Aaron meet him?
You can watch Friday’s Emmerdale now on ITVX, or wait until 7.30pm on ITV1.
