Emmerdale’s Chris Coghill teases “a lot of tension” in “dangerous” Kev storyline

Christopher Coghill, who plays Kev in Emmerdale, has hinted at a tense and risky upcoming plot for his character.

I was absolutely shocked to find out that Kev, who arrived in the village a few months ago after getting out of prison, is actually Robert’s husband! Apparently, they got married while they were both serving time. It’s a huge surprise, and I can’t wait to see how this plays out!

Robert is keeping important information about his time in prison a secret from Aaron Dingle, who he recently reconciled with after the truth came out about John Sugden.

With Kev now visible in the village, Robert’s secret relationship will be revealed. Next week, Aaron will unexpectedly see them kissing, exposing the truth.

Coghill described the plot as complex, explaining to Digital Spy that Kev is behaving erratically. He noted that while Kev does have real feelings for Robert, those feelings are inappropriate or unhealthy.

So, as a fan, it’s interesting to hear what the actor playing Kev says about his on-screen relationships! Apparently, Kev and Aaron really don’t get along – there’s a lot of friction between them. But it sounds like he enjoys working with Danny Miller, who plays Aaron, despite everything!

He explained that there’s a developing connection between Victoria and the other character. She senses his weaknesses, and their interactions have some genuinely tender moments.

Aaron is a Dingle, but I’d avoid a fight with Cain. Charity and Chastity are somewhat involved, but the main conflict is really between the three of us.
