The situation in the Dales has become progressively intricate as Kim Tate (Claire King) and her latest beau, Dr. Crowley (James Hillier), also known as Eddie, have entered the picture.
Luckily, actress Claire King won’t be leaving us any time soon, which means we get to find out how her latest storyline unfolds. According to The Sun, she has just agreed to a new deal that keeps her on the soap opera for another year.
Since 1989, King has occasionally portrayed the character Kim, but she made a significant comeback in 2018 and has been a consistent presence on the show ever since.
Lately, Kim has been dealing with some personal issues following the passing of her husband Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) around Christmas time last year. Since then, she’s been hatching plans against Joe Tate (Ned Porteous), and now she’s embarking on a mysterious relationship with an intriguing individual.
In more recent events, it was unveiled that while Kim knows him as Eddie, he is in fact the same individual who conducted an illegal kidney transplant on Joe, later using this information to extort him. Additionally, it came to light that Doctor Crowley not only took Joe captive but also drained his bank account.
Given that King isn’t leaving the scene any time quickly, we can definitely expect many more developments in this narrative. Could she ultimately outmaneuver Doctor Crowley in his own game? We’ll have to wait and see.
According to sources, The Sun reported that King’s contract renewal was based on the fact that “Kim Tate is one of the soap opera’s all-time greatest characters, and it is fitting for her to have a significant storyline. This upcoming plot will explore Kim’s past, revealing more about who she is and where she came from. The storyline aims to bring back the toughness that made Kim Tate the character she is known as today.
She’ll go to extreme lengths to achieve her goals, which may also lead to creating more adversaries. Additionally, her actions could possibly alter the village in a significant way.
“He’s very nasty and he’ll go to any lengths to get her money, and he kind of does.”
When asked if Crowley should be careful, she replied, “Once Kim learns about this, it won’t just be his back he needs to worry about, and I’m serious!
King hinted playfully, “Everything has an unexpected turn,” he added mysteriously, “And it turns out there’s a rather unpleasant surprise waiting for us!
