Emmerdale’s Moira Dingle makes a mammoth decision concerning her future in early ITVX release

Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) is heartbroken in Emmerdale after learning that his wife, Moira (Natalie J Robb), has decided to end their troubled marriage.

On top of a serious prostate cancer diagnosis, he’s also struggling with the news that Joe Tate has secretly taken over part of their farm, Butler’s Farm.

He obtained his stake through deceitful means, manipulating Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) into falsely accusing Moira of two murders and human trafficking. Moira was subsequently imprisoned and, until recently, had been largely cut off from news of the outside world.

I was completely gutted watching Cain finally break down and tell Moira everything – about how bad his health really is, and that Joe’s been twisting the knife. Apparently, Joe’s demanding Cain sell his share of Butler’s, and he’s threatening to go to the cops if he doesn’t. He’s got proof Cain stole two of his cars, and he’s willing to use it to get what he wants. It’s a terrible situation, and you really feel for Cain.

Although Moira was first upset, she understood her husband was doing what he thought was best for their family and encouraged him to prioritize their well-being.

Kim Tate (Claire King) told Joe to stop bothering the Dingles, even though he claimed he was close to completing a deal. Knowing he wouldn’t leave Cain alone, Kim decided she needed to intervene herself.

After getting a visit request from Moira, Kim went to the prison, curious about what she wanted to discuss. She was shocked to hear that Moira had decided to sell Butler’s Farm and was giving Kim the first chance to buy it, as long as Kim offered the same price as another potential buyer.

Moira explained she was worried about Cain and wanted to help him through a difficult time. When Kim asked what was wrong, Moira shared that he was ill. She only asked that she still be allowed to visit Holly’s gravesite to remember her.

Back in the village, he was trying to explain the situation to his relatives, and these conversations were proving to be challenging.

Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill) finally found some peace after a long conflict with her husband, Jacob Gallagher (Joe Warren-Plant), regarding the recent car thefts. Jacob now understood why Sarah couldn’t explain her reasons – she was secretly carrying out her grandfather’s request to keep his cancer diagnosis private.

Joe showed up at The Woolpack just as Cain was there, and immediately told him about Moira’s actions. Cain was shocked and couldn’t believe what he was hearing.
