Emmerdale’s Natalie J Robb reveals Moira’s showdown with Joe Tate sparks Dingle feud

Natalie J Robb has disclosed the trigger for the upcoming Dingle family dispute, and her Emmerdale character, Moira, finds herself squarely in the middle of it.

Due to a contamination incident at Butler’s Farm that affected the local village’s drinking water, Moira finds herself facing a difficult choice: should she agree to sell her farm to Kim Tate (played by Claire King).

Recently, Kim acquired a piece of land that Moira has long utilized – the field once belonging to Anne Sugden, sold secretly by her grandson Robert.

As a movie buff, I find myself drawn into the thick of things as Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) steps right into the middle of the conflict. Meanwhile, Moira’s stepson Kyle (Huey Quinn) finds himself petrified at the sight of mysterious intruders. Interestingly enough, one of those intruders is a fresh face on the scene – Dylan (Fred Kettle).

In this situation, when Kyle becomes aggressive towards Dylan due to fear, an angry Moira retrieves her shotgun later on, placing the blame for the confrontation on Joe.

What sets Moira off is something so enraging that it makes her see anger – unfortunately, her intense response puts a loved one at risk.

Moira moves to strike Joe, and Lydia intervenes. Instead of hitting him, she advances toward Joe, who then leaps forward to shield Moira, unfortunately taking a punch to the ear himself, an action that was truly distressing, as she recounted.

Later on, it’s clear that Moira is deeply saddened, for Lydia has been injured, a person she holds dear. This, inevitably, may escalate conflicts within the Dingles family.

In the wake of Moira’s actions, it’s Cain (Jeff Hordley) who escalates the situation, provoking Lydia’s husband, Sam (James Hooton), Cain’s own brother, to anger.

Sam is confident that she didn’t intentionally harm Lydia. However, he feels conflicted due to Cain’s intimidation towards Lydia, as if warning her against pressing charges. Importantly, it was Joe Tate who filed the complaint, not her.

With Cain growing hostile to safeguard his wife, Robb commented, “It only deepens the problem, as they’re currently avoiding communication with us!

I’m making an effort to persuade Cain to apologize, make amends, and resolve the issue at hand. If he doesn’t, this disagreement may escalate into a long-lasting family dispute. Sam is quite distressed over the situation.

The actress shared that Moira appears a little eccentric in Joe’s eyes.

It seems Joe Tate might appreciate her assertiveness too, finding her robustness admirable, and recognizing her persistent efforts to maintain control over the situation.

On how the story continues to play out for Moira, Robb offered us one last cryptic teaser.

A larger number of individuals may enter with aggressive or menacing conduct, and some of these newcomers could have malicious intentions.

The future is looking bleaker than ever for poor Moira, but can she turn things around?
