Emmerdale’s Ruby Miligan left shaken by harrowing discovery in early ITVX release

Ruby Miligan, played by Beth Cordingly, found herself in an unexpected situation while trying to uncover the truth in today’s episode of Emmerdale.

This development follows worries about Anya Berisha (played by Alia Al-Shabibi), who was enslaved and forced to work by Ray Walters (Joe Absolom) and Celia Daniels (Jaye Griffiths) last year.

As viewers may remember, Ruby was among the first villagers to encounter Anya, discovering her in the back of a van as she attempted to flee from those who had taken her.

Ruby didn’t know Anya was in trouble and thought she had hidden on a ship to get here. When she noticed Anya wasn’t feeling well, Ruby kindly offered her a place to stay at The Mill, which greatly upset Ruby’s husband, Caleb (William Ash).

To get back at the situation, Caleb gave the upset girl £10,000. She accepted the money and immediately fled towards Leeds, but Ray quickly overtook her and took her back to his farm.

She quickly became very sick and, tragically, died when Ray and Celia refused to get her medical attention. They then callously instructed Bear Wolf to bury her on Moira Dingle’s property, marking the grave with a ribbon that had belonged to her daughter.

Ruby discovered Bear searching for the ribbon earlier this week, which led her to suspect something was wrong. When she told the police, they didn’t seem interested in helping.

But on today’s show, the team had to get involved when Ruby and Caleb discovered a thread tied to a tree near some freshly dug-up earth.

Tents went up, signaling the start of a search, and Moira learned they were looking for someone. Even though she was asked about her connection to Celia, Moira believed she had done nothing wrong and went on with her night.

Shortly afterwards, Ruby watched in horror as a body was carried out of the tent.

Overcome with emotion, she leaned on Caleb, unable to face what they had found. However, Caleb gently insisted she look at one more thing – a new development in the situation.

A second body emerged, meaning that Anya wasn’t the only one who had perished.

But who is it? Could it be Celia, who was killed by Ray at the beginning of the month?
