Emmys 2025 Seating Chart Revealed

Ladies and gentleman, take your seats.

Photos of the seating arrangements for the 2025 Emmy Awards, taking place at Los Angeles’ Peacock Theater on September 14 and hosted by comedian Nate Bargatze, have been unveiled. Among those revealed are Sydney Sweeney in a group with Harrison Ford, Javier Bardem, and Jude Law. Notably, Cate Blanchett will be seated alongside Jake Gyllenhaal at the event.

Plus, many iconic castmates will be spending the evening together.

This year, Brittany Snow and Malin Akerman from Netflix’s “The Hunting Wives” will watch the show together as friends. Meanwhile, Martin Short and Steve Martin from Hulu’s “Only Murders in the Building” will share a seat. Additionally, Hannah Einbinder and Jean Smart from HBO Max’s “Hacks” will be found laughing together among the audience.

Meanwhile, the seating arrangement offers a chance for popular co-stars of yesteryears to get together again – such as Alexis Bledel and Lauren Graham from Gilmore Girls, who will return to their old stomping grounds by presenting at this year’s ceremony.

It’s been a long time coming, but their reunion is finally happening, perfectly timed with the 25th anniversary of the WB series. The last time they were seen together on a red carpet was nine years ago, during Netflix’s revival of the show that originally ran for seven seasons from 2000 to 2007.

Through the years, the pair has shared a close bond on and off screen.

In 2016, Lauren shared with People that her relationship with her mother is more akin to friendship rather than the traditional mother-daughter bond. She emphasized that their age gap is smaller than the actors who portrayed her children on Parenthood.

I expressed, ‘I hold immense admiration for her, not only as an actor but also as a person and a mother. I found myself beaming with pride over how she navigated her personal life. She’s remarkably private, and it seemed fortuitous that we were both in different chapters at the time, now finding ourselves more settled. It was quite intriguing to rekindle our connection.’

As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but feel a mix of emotions as “The Handmaid’s Tale” drew to a close in May following an intense six-season journey. It’s hard to fathom that the last set of episodes didn’t secure any Emmy nominations, given its impressive history. This Hulu gem has been showered with 77 Emmy nods over the years and bagged an astounding 15 awards, including the coveted Outstanding Drama Series title. It’s a little puzzling why the series finale didn’t make the cut this time around.

The director of “The Godfather” might have garnered numerous awards for his work behind the scenes, but it was his debut acting recognition – categorized as a guest appearance – that he received for his brief role in “The Studio.

Despite their survival strategies involving mutiny and cannibalism during the harsh Canadian winter, the series Yellowjackets didn’t receive any acknowledgments this year.

As a lifestyle expert, I must admit that it’s quite surprising to see Diego Luna, the captivating lead of the critically acclaimed show “Andor,” not receiving a nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series this year. Despite Andor garnering an impressive 14 nominations, it seems our extraordinary talent Diego Luna missed out on sharing the category with esteemed actors like Adam Scott, Sterling K. Brown, Gary Oldman, Noah Wyle, and Pedro Pascal.

Similarly to her fellow actor Steve, Selena Gomez also failed to secure a nomination for her work in “Only Murders in the Building”, even though the show itself received eight nominations, among them Outstanding Comedy Series.

The Apple TV+ series featuring Seth Rogen and Kathryn Hahn received widespread praise upon its debut, and it truly shone with 23 nominations to show for it. Notably, the show won the category of Outstanding Comedy Series, Ike Barinholtz secured an award for Outstanding Supporting Actor, and Seth Rogen was recognized as Outstanding Lead Actor, along with several other accolades.

Though Harrison Ford boasts an extensive film career, the iconic Star Wars actor garnered his initial Emmy nomination at the age of 83, in the category of Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for Shrinking.

Although the HBO dramedy received positive criticism for its final season from critics, it didn’t lead to significant nominations. The series featuring actors like Danny McBride, Adam DeVine, and Edi Patterson was only recognized in technical categories such as cinematography, music supervision, and sound editing.

Despite the Hulu series not gaining as much online popularity as competitors The Pitt and The Studio in terms of overall attention, it did manage to secure nominations in major categories. Notably, Sterling K. Brown was nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor, James Marsden for Outstanding Supporting Actor, and Julianne Nicholson for Outstanding Supporting Actress.

Despite being hosted by Sean Evans, the series has solidified its place as a notable contender in the realm of interviews. However, it was unfortunately omitted from the nominations for Outstanding Talk Series.

Since the debut of “Black Mirror” in 2011, it has garnered numerous Emmy nominations. Notably, Rashida Jones was the initial actor to secure a nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie within this series.

As a devoted admirer, I couldn’t help but notice that while I, Martin Short, received recognition for my role in Outstanding Lead Actor In a Comedy Series for “Only Murders in the Building,” my on-screen partner Steve Martin was unfortunately omitted from the nominees list.

This year has been exceptionally successful for Bowen Yang, breaking records as the most-nominated Asian male performer in Emmy history. He received four nominations, including one for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for Saturday Night Live (for which he was nominated in 2024, 2022, and 2021).

In a different interpretation, the performer from “Wicked” is additionally recognized as the sole actor nominated for the sketch comedy genre; it’s worth noting that Kenan Thompson has been honored with nominations on six separate occasions.

Regrettably, even though it arrived brimming with 14 nominations at the 2022 Emmy Awards, including a historic nod for Best Drama as the first non-English series to be recognized in this category, the Netflix show went home empty-handed for its second season, losing out across all categories.
