End of an Era Finale: Travis Kelce’s Letter to Taylor Swift Revealed

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce‘s love story began on The Eras Tour.

It felt right that the final episode of the The End of an Era docuseries, which came out on Disney+ on December 23rd, included another sweet moment between them. This time, it was a letter Travis wrote to Taylor in December 2024 while she got ready for her last three Eras Tour concerts in Vancouver.

Taylor read a note that said, “This tour has given me so many amazing memories, but the best one is definitely seeing you perform live for the first time. I was completely captivated by someone who didn’t even know I was there.”

In July 2023, the NFL star went to a concert by the singer of “Cruel Summer” in Kansas City and made a friendship bracelet for her. When he didn’t get a chance to meet her after the show at Arrowhead Stadium, he jokingly mentioned it on his podcast, New Heights. This led to a series of events, including Taylor Swift’s mother, Andrea, playing matchmaker, and ultimately sparked their relationship.

As a longtime fan, I have to say a huge thank you to everyone who put this incredible tour together! And a special shoutout to Robert Allen, Taylor’s tour manager – he really made it happen for us here in Kansas City, Missouri, and I’m so grateful he included us on the route!

The Kansas City Chiefs star said that meeting his future wife started with an encounter with two people in Kansas City that night.

As for how Taylor reacted to Travis’ note? It’s safe to say she was enchanted.

She exclaimed, reading the letter, “Well, that explains the lack of feeling I’ve been showing these past few episodes!”

The sentiment in Travis’ letter echoes his previous comments about seeing Taylor perform.

He told Taylor that if he hadn’t been so captivated by her performance at the show, and hadn’t been inspired to meet her, he wouldn’t have publicly complained about being upset.

Travis explained how amazing it felt to get a whole stadium excited, then added that being with Taylor felt instantly familiar, like they’d known each other for years. He shared this shortly after proposing to her, following the recording of their podcast.

And Taylor agreed. As she noted, “I felt the same exact way about you.”

The first episode of The End of an Era featured Taylor Swift discussing the cancellation of her August 2024 concerts in Vienna, Austria, due to a terror threat. Two men were arrested for their involvement in the planned attack.

Taylor described a frightening series of incidents on tour, saying they narrowly avoided a potentially deadly situation. She admitted the experience left her shaken and overwhelmed.

This event happened shortly after a tragic incident in Southport, England, where three children died during a dance class inspired by Taylor Swift.

An emotional Taylor shared through tears, “I have a hard time explaining it.”

After the tragic event, Taylor met privately with those who survived the Southport attack and with their families, offering support backstage at her concerts in Wembley.

In the docuseries, Taylor and her mother, Andrea Swift, were both visibly upset after a particular conversation. Andrea told Taylor, “I know you helped them. It might not feel like it, but I know you did.”

Taylor was very nervous before performing at Wembley Stadium, especially after the recent sad events.

“I just need to do this show,” she told pal Ed Sheeran backstage, “remember the joy of it.”

Taylor went on to explain that after she wraps up her Wembley concerts she’ll have two months off.

After Ed asked what she was up to, she said she needed to disappear – to go somewhere completely off the grid. She explained she just wanted to avoid being followed or monitored, as she’d been feeling like someone was constantly pursuing her.

Recent reports confirmed that Taylor Swift gave bonuses to all members of her tour crew – including dancers and musicians – after each leg of the tour wrapped up.

Taylor explained that ‘bonus day’ was crucial, as establishing a tradition with The Eras Tour meant a lot to her.

As a lifestyle expert, I always believe in recognizing hard work, and this tour is a perfect example! The crew is incredible – truly the best in the business – and their bonuses increase with the tour’s success, which is fantastic. So, I took the time to personally write a handwritten note to every single member of the crew. It took a couple of weeks, but honestly, it was a joy to do!

And Taylor was on hand to deliver those notes, which brought her team to tears.

Even when Travis Kelce wasn’t with Taylor at the concerts, he was like other fans, searching online for information about The Eras Tour.

Travis told Taylor in a heartwarming phone call before her concerts in Wembley, “I really want to be there! I’m going to be searching everywhere online to try and make it happen.”

While putting The Eras Tour together, Taylor turned to a longtime pal for guidance.

I needed a choreographer, so I asked my friend, Emma Stone, who’s done a lot of dancing in movies, for a recommendation. She immediately said, ‘You need to work with Mandy Moore – she’s the only one!’ Taylor explained.

Mandy Moore, the choreographer – a different person than the actress with the same name – collaborated with Emma on the 2016 film La La Land.

To prevent rehearsal performances, such as the surprise song “Florida!!!” featuring Florence Welch, from being leaked, Taylor Swift and her band would lower the volume during practice. They practiced “quietly” so fans waiting outside the stadiums couldn’t overhear the music.

Taylor explained in the second episode of the docuseries, “Magic of the Eras,” that keeping surprises under wraps is exhausting. “Honestly, just thinking about it makes me want to take a nap!” she said. “But seeing it all come together and actually work is totally worth the effort.”
