This week, the Epic Games Store is giving away two free PC games worth a combined $45. One is a relaxing adventure game released in 2021, normally priced at $15. The other is a first-person shooter set in World War I, released in 2022 and usually costing $30. These games offer very different experiences, covering both cozy and intense tactical gameplay.
First up is Cozy Grove, a charming exploration game from Spry Fox released in 2021. While it’s not super famous, it’s highly rated – 90% of over 3,700 Steam users recommend it. The other free game this week is Isonzo from BlackMill Games, a realistic World War 1 shooter that’s a bit more popular. It has almost double the number of user reviews – over 7,600 – and an 86% positive rating.
Isonzo
The creators of Verdun and Tannenberg present Isonzo, a World War I game set on the Italian Front. It features large 48-player battles where you can choose from six classes, customize your gear with over 50 weapons, and use special equipment and perks to gain an advantage.
Cozy Grove
When Spry Fox first launched, they released Cozy Grove. It’s a game where you camp on a mysterious, constantly changing island filled with ghosts. As a Spirit Scout, you’ll help these ghosts find peace, uncover hidden treasures, and restore color and happiness to the island.
Like all free games on the Epic Games Store, these titles are yours to keep forever once you add them to your library. But don’t wait! This offer ends on March 19th (next Thursday), when two new games will become available.
The free games offered by the Epic Games Store in 2026 haven’t been very impressive so far. This week’s game isn’t a standout, but it’s an improvement over many of the previous offerings this year. If you’re not interested in that, Steam is also giving away a free game, but only for a limited time this week.
