As a PC gamer, I’m always on the lookout for good deals, and right now it’s a fantastic time to be one of us! While Steam sales and Humble Bundles are awesome, there are so many other ways to snag free games. I’ve been getting some great titles through Amazon Prime, which gives away free games monthly. But Epic Games Store is really stepping up its game to compete with Steam, and this month they’re giving away what feel like some seriously amazing games for free – it’s a huge win for us PC players!
This week, Epic Games started giving away the popular game Hogwarts Legacy for free until December 18th. If you have an Epic Games account, you can download and keep the game permanently – and it won’t cost you anything! It’s an amazing offer, and it’s part of a bigger holiday promotion with more free games and sales. A list of upcoming freebies has reportedly been leaked, suggesting even more great deals are on the way.
Red Dead Redemption 2, Detroit: Become Human, and More Reportedly Being Made Free With Epic Games Store

Epic Games will be giving away more free games this month, though they haven’t officially announced what they are yet. However, a leak is circulating online. A user on the QQ social media platform shared a list of the upcoming free games, starting with Hogwarts Legacy. The leak also includes Red Dead Redemption 2 and Mortal Kombat 11. Some people have noticed that a few of these games aren’t currently available on the Epic Games Store, but they might be added before being offered as freebies.
However, it’s best to be skeptical for now. We’ll know for certain if this list is accurate on December 18th. If Jurassic World: Evolution 2 isn’t actually free, then we’ll know the list is fake. Regardless, you can check the list below.
- Jurassic World: Evolution 2 – December 18th
- Desperados 3 – December 19th
- Total War: Warhammer – December 20th
