For Eric Dane and Janell Shirtcliff, a picture is worth a thousand words.

After actor and Grey’s Anatomy star, Alan Thicke, passed away on February 19th at the age of 53 following a battle with ALS, his partner shared photos and memories of their relationship on social media.

On February 21st, Janell shared personal photos of Eric on her Instagram Stories. These included a black-and-white picture of him happily getting a tattoo on his arm and another of him wearing a white t-shirt and cowboy hat while standing with a horse.

I’m such a fan of this photographer – they’ve shot amazing portraits of huge stars like Post Malone, Jenna Ortega, and Dua Lipa! I was so excited to see they recently shared some really sweet and candid moments with Eric, including a super cute photo of him kissing the side of her head while they were on some stairs, and a cozy selfie of him nuzzling her shoulder. It’s just adorable to see them together!

Janell also shared a sweet moment showing Eric connecting with one of her children, who playfully directed a spontaneous photoshoot with the Euphoria actor.

As a lifestyle expert, I often see how crucial simple interactions are, especially between family. In this sweet moment, a child was directing Eric, telling him to look at their mom and then asking him to smile. It’s a lovely example of a child taking charge and spreading a little joy!

Eric and Janell appeared to become a couple in June, shortly after Eric revealed he had ALS. They made their first public appearance together at the Los Angeles premiere of his show, Countdown, where they were photographed holding hands and laughing.

TopMob News tried contacting representatives for a statement about the relationship, but they didn’t receive a response.

Even though Eric seemed to be dating Janell, he was still legally married to Rebecca Gayheart, and they shared two daughters, Billie, 15, and Georgia, 14. Although they separated in 2017, Eric continued to think highly of Rebecca.

In his last interview for the February 20th episode of Famous Last Words, Eric shared with Brad Falchuck that he would always consider his love for Rebecca to be unique. He said, ‘I’ll never love someone else as deeply,’ adding that she is the mother of his children and that their connection felt natural and meant to be.

Eric Dane and Rebecca Gayheart have always kept the details of how they met private, with Dane jokingly suggesting it’s not a very exciting story.

He told Flaunt magazine in 2008 that it all started with a simple question: “Want to go out?” She said yes, and ten months later, they were married.

Less than one year after they began dating, the couple exchanged vows in Las Vegas. 

Following Dane’s announcement that he was departing the TV series The Last Ship as he dealt with depression, Gayheart used Instagram to publicly share her support for him.

“Way back when I met my Monday man crush,” Gayheart captioned a throwback photo of the couple. 

When filing for divorce, Gayheart stated that she and her spouse had irreconcilable differences. She requested financial support and shared custody of their daughters, Billie and Georgia.

The couple announced after 14 years of marriage that they’ve decided to separate. In a statement to TopMob News, they said they remain friends and will continue to co-parent their two daughters, who are their top priority.

Despite never officially divorcing, Dane shared in 2019 with Entertainment Tonight that he and his ex-partner remained friends and successfully co-parented their two children. He explained, “It’s not complicated…it doesn’t have to be.”

Ten years after a nude video featuring Dane and former Miss Teen USA Kari Ann Peniche appeared online, Dane publicly spoke about the controversy for the first time in a recent interview.

He recently revisited a past statement he made about the situation, and he stands by it. “Looking back, it wasn’t a mistake at all,” he told Glamour. He explained that because everyone involved was a consenting adult – including his wife – he didn’t believe he had done anything wrong.

He clarified that his earlier statements probably meant he was responding to hints about drug use in the video.

When asked if it was a mistake, the former Grey’s Anatomy star said they didn’t believe they did anything illegal or influenced anyone improperly. They described the situation as simply three people sharing a bath.

He finished by saying he stood by everything he’d done and felt completely content with the life he’d lived. He had no regrets and wouldn’t change a thing.

When the tape became public in 2009, Dane and Gayheart sued Gawker Media for $1 million, claiming copyright infringement. The case was eventually settled for a substantial amount – over $100,000.

Rumors of a rekindled romance began swirling when the couple and their two daughters traveled to Europe together. The actress, known for her role in Jawbreaker, posted photos from the trip, including one of her husband playfully making a face at the camera with their girls.

“This is us,” Gayheart captioned the Instagram post. “Family vacay 2022.”

Okay, so I’m loving seeing all these travel photos! They just shared another one from their European trip – this time a super cute group shot on the streets of Paris. She captioned it simply, “A pit stop in Paris!” – how fun does that sound?

The group traveled along the coast to St. Tropez, and Gayheart shared updates from their trip on her Instagram Stories. She posted a picture of the group with a friend, writing, “My people.”

While she filed for divorce in 2018, Dane and Gayheart kicked off the New Year as one big family.

The actors from Euphoria and Beverly Hills, 90210 were seen holding hands as they walked off a boat with their two daughters while on vacation.

Gayheart filed to dismiss her divorce petition, seven years after submitting the papers.
