Everleigh LaBrant Defends Her Skincare Line for 12-Year-Olds

Everleigh LaBrant is glowing over her new brand.

The 12-year-old social media personality, who started her skincare company for kids, bev.skin, on December 9th, responded to concerns about the products potentially harming children. She explained that she created the brand based on her own personal experiences.

Everleigh shared in an Instagram Story comment on December 8th that when she was around 10 or 11 years old, she loved going to Sephora with her mom. She explained she wanted to try all the skincare products her mom used, simply because it was enjoyable, and all her friends were doing the same thing.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m always hearing about skincare, and it’s so important to get the right products! I recently learned from Everleigh LaBrant – part of the adorable LaBrant family, which includes her mom Savannah, stepdad Cole, and her siblings Posie, Zealand, Sunday, and Beckham – that the skincare she was using was actually designed for adults, not for younger skin like hers. It really highlights how crucial it is to find formulas that are age-appropriate!

We discovered that many ingredients in anti-aging skincare can actually harm younger skin. That’s why I created a line of skincare products that are fun to use, really work, and only include beneficial, safe ingredients.

The young teen pointed out that bev.skin doesn’t include ingredients to fight aging, but focuses on creating products both mothers and daughters can enjoy together.

According to bev.skin, Everleigh started the brand to provide teenagers with a gentler and more straightforward skincare routine. The product line includes essentials like cleansers, moisturizers, serums, and toners.

Everleigh has been eagerly awaiting the launch of her brand, sharing on Instagram on December 8th that she’s spent the last two years developing it.

She gasped with delight as she unwrapped the finished products, exclaiming, “It’s like a dream! It’s absolutely perfect!”

The social media star isn’t alone in getting feedback about a skincare line for kids. Actress Shay Mitchell recently explained why she created rini, her brand of skincare masks designed for children ages 3 and older.

She explained on Today’s Jenna & Friends in November that when it comes to children, it’s important to talk things through. Like many parents, she said she has questions about everything her kids use – from food to skincare – and didn’t expect this situation to be any different.

The actress, known for her role in Pretty Little Liars, explained that the masks contain the same gentle moisturizers parents use on kids, but in a more appealing and age-appropriate form.

As a mom with two daughters, I realized there weren’t any products I felt comfortable letting them use when they wanted to participate in skincare routines with me, so I decided to create something safe for them.

For her daughters, Atlas, age 6, and Rome, 3, whom she shares with partner Matte Babel, it’s less about beauty and more about a refreshing feeling and a chance to connect.
