We Finally Have a Comics-Accurate Cyclops

Fox’s X-Men movies were known for their playful takes on superhero costumes, but Avengers: Doomsday is finally delivering costumes that look exactly like they do in the comics. We briefly see a heartfelt moment with Scott Summers, played again by James Marsden, sporting the iconic Cyclops suit from the 1990s X-Men comics and cartoon – though updated without the classic trunks. Plus, his optic blasts are more visually impressive than ever before.

M’Baku is King of Wakanda

The latest trailer is now available, and it centers on Wakanda. It confirms that Winston Duke’s character, M’Baku, has become the new leader. Shuri, played by Letitia Wright, explains that M’Baku is preparing his people for a difficult future, suggesting the trailer continues the themes established in the recent X-Men teaser.

The Fantastic Four Arrive at Wakanda

The end of Thunderbolts hinted at the arrival of the Fantastic Four in the main Marvel Cinematic Universe for Avengers: Doomsday, and a recent trailer for the Wakanda film confirms their story will continue there. The trailer shows Ben Grimm, a.k.a. The Thing, meeting the people of Wakanda and introducing his team, the Fantastic Four. It’s unclear if they’ll go straight to Wakanda, or if they’ll interact with other MCU heroes like the Thunderbolts beforehand.
