If you and your friends haven’t explored all the Destiny 2 expansions together so far, now could be a perfect opportunity! From today until July 22nd, Bungie is offering free access to every expansion available for the game. This event, titled “Destiny 2 Expansion Open Access,” allows players to enjoy these expansions without any cost. Any currency, gear, titles, cosmetics, or Triumphs earned during this period will be yours to keep at no charge!
Mentioned in the July 3rd “This Week In Destiny” update, it’s now possible to explore any of these expansions across PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, Microsoft Store, or Epic Games Store. However, it’s important to note that PlayStation users require an active PlayStation Plus subscription to access specific multiplayer aspects, so keep this in mind when deciding which platform to choose.
Players can look forward to a “treasure extravaganza” starting today and lasting until July 15th. In Destiny 2, this event will lead to an influx of better weapon drops, currency rewards, and loot from the final boss chest after an encounter. This means that playing through these expansions will be even more enjoyable, as those playing for free will strive to get the most out of their playtime during the trial period.
Regardless if you can’t play Destiny 2 right now, simply logging in between today and July 15th will reward players with an extra Nonary Engram for each daily login. These Nonary Engrams offer access to cosmetics and emotes from the entire span of Destiny 2’s development, making them ideal for those who have missed out on them in the past.
Through the Emissary, you get a glimpse of past prizes.
Use your Nonary Manifold points with her for the latest Nonary Engrams and receive finisher moves, emotes, and much more.
Open to all players.

During the open-access phase, gamers can delve into the story-centric episode content at no cost as well. At present, this content is broken down into three episodes, each comprising an act. In essence, both seasoned and novice players will find ample activities to engage in until the upcoming Edge of Fate expansion for Destiny 2 releases on July 15th.
