Every Episode of a Classic Horror Sitcom Is Streaming Free Ahead of Long-Awaited Reboot

As a total movie and TV buff, I’ve gotta say Tubi is seriously underrated. Everyone knows them for having tons of free movies, which is amazing, but I’ve been discovering they’re becoming a real haven for classic TV shows too! They’re constantly adding new stuff, and this October they just dropped one of the most beloved shows from the ’60s – I was thrilled to see it!

The first two seasons of the classic sitcom *The Munsters* became available to stream on Tubi starting October 1st. All 70 episodes of the show, which originally aired from 1964 to 1966 and was a huge hit, are now available to watch for free. The series follows a lovable family of monsters living a normal suburban life at 1313 Mockingbird Lane, and they see themselves as a typical American family.

The Munsters Remains a Beloved Classic

The Munsters launched at the perfect time, riding the wave of the 1960s monster movie craze and the popularity of unusual, lighthearted sitcoms. By blending these two trends, the show became a beloved cultural icon.

Despite any minor flaws, *The Munsters* is a truly fantastic show that has rightfully remained popular over the years. It’s hilarious because it cleverly pokes fun at typical American suburban life by presenting monsters as a warm and loving family – their monstrous qualities are a funny contrast to the everyday world around them. The show also features a wonderful cast of characters inspired by classic monsters from Universal films, like Frankenstein and Dracula.

The sitcom *The Munsters* was a big hit with viewers during its two seasons, becoming incredibly popular right away and remaining beloved today. Even though it only lasted a short time on television, the story continued in several movies, including *Munster, Go Home!*, *The Mini-Munsters*, *The Munsters’ Revenge*, *Here Come the Munsters*, *The Munsters’ Scary Little Christmas*, and Rob Zombie’s *The Munsters*. But the Munster family’s story isn’t over yet! A new version of the show, called *1313*, is currently in development with Universal and Atomic Monster, led by James Wan, Lindsey Anderson Beer, and Ingrid Bisu. It was announced last year, but details are still scarce, so fans will have to enjoy the original shows and movies for now.

Other Horror Titles Now on Tubi

This October, Tubi added a bunch of spooky titles to its streaming library, including *The Munsters*. Other horror movies now available on Tubi are *30 Days of Night*, *An American Werewolf in London*, *Jennifer’s Body*, *Life After Beth*, *The Omen*, and *Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation*.
