One of the biggest perks of streaming services is being able to watch an entire TV series all at once. It’s especially satisfying when the show is consistently excellent throughout, with a strong and well-executed finale. Few series achieve this, but one of the best is now available on Hulu.
All four seasons of the Emmy-nominated comedy The Good Place will be available to stream on Hulu starting February 9th. Created by Michael Schur and starring Kristen Bell, Ted Danson, and a talented ensemble cast, the show first aired in 2016 and quickly became a critical and fan favorite, with many calling it one of the best TV shows of the 2010s.
The Good Place’s Subversive Take on Redemption and the Afterlife Is Hilarious (And Moving)
The show The Good Place begins with Eleanor Shellstrop (Bell) unexpectedly finding herself in the afterlife – a seemingly perfect utopia called the “Good Place” – run by Michael (Danson). The problem is, Eleanor realizes she doesn’t belong there and fears being sent to the “Bad Place.” She decides to try and become a better person to earn her spot, but a big twist quickly changes everything, keeping the show interesting for all four seasons.
The afterlife has always been a popular topic in stories, but The Good Place offers a fresh and unexpected take. It’s a hilarious and thought-provoking show that explores ideas of good and evil in surprising ways – even when it introduces difficult concepts like torture. Instead of focusing on strict rules, the show suggests that true goodness comes from personal growth. It’s beautifully made, consistently funny, and surprisingly emotional, and it’s one of the few series that delivers a truly satisfying ending. Now that all four seasons are available to stream, it’s a perfect show to watch from beginning to end.
All four seasons of The Good Place arrive on Hulu on February 9th.
