Will Smith’s new docuseries, Pole to Pole, follows him on an incredible 100-day adventure across all seven continents. All seven episodes are now available to stream on both Disney+ and Hulu. The series showcases Smith’s travels from Antarctica’s icy landscapes to the Amazon rainforest and many places in between, as he participates in groundbreaking scientific research, explores the Arctic, faces daring challenges like handling a venomous spider, and connects with people around the globe.
Pole to Pole with Will Smith Is Unlike Anything the Actor Has Done Before
You know Will Smith from his early days as a rapper and his starring roles in shows like The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, movies like Men in Black, and the thriller I Am Legend. But his new National Geographic series, Pole to Pole, is something completely different, even for him. This epic and visually stunning adventure takes Smith on a challenging physical and deeply personal journey around the world, pushing his limits as he skis to the South Pole and encounters dangerous animals along the way.
Abby Kirby of The Geekiary called Pole to Pole a uniquely beautiful documentary series, ranking it among National Geographic’s best. Lucy Mangan of The Guardian praised the show as consistently funny, heartwarming, and stunning. She noted that host Steve Smith is a charming and engaging guide, genuinely captivated by both the landscapes and the people he meets. Mangan also highlighted a few particularly touching moments, calling Pole to Pole a refreshing and worthwhile celebrity documentary – a standout from typical reality TV fare.
Will Smith’s newest venture is a project called Pole to Pole. He’s also busy with other films, including the sequel to I Am Legend, I Am Legend 2, and a Netflix thriller called Fast and Loose.
What’s New on Disney+?
Disney+ added several new shows and movies in January, including the series Pole to Pole with Will Smith. They also made the original Indiana Jones films, Tim Burton’s Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, and the first season of The Artful Dodger available to stream. Plus, new episodes of Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2 are being released each week.
You can now watch all seven episodes of Pole to Pole with Will Smith on Disney+ and Hulu. New episodes will also air weekly on Wednesdays on National Geographic, with the season ending on January 27th with the episode “The North Pole.”
