Every Major Jujutsu Kaisen Character Still Alive in The Sequel

Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo is nearing its conclusion, planned to run for six months with a total of three volumes. This sequel to the original Jujutsu Kaisen story follows a new cast of characters battling a unique threat 68 years after the Culling Game. As the manga progresses, the central conflict – the aftermath of an alien invasion – is becoming clearer. While over 50,000 Simurians came to Japan seeking refuge, their potent abilities and sheer numbers have put the jujutsu world on high alert.

The situation takes a dark turn when negotiations fail, leading to a fatal shooting of Cross by a sorcerer named Yakumaru – a result of miscommunication and rising tensions. Because the story shares the same world as Jujutsu Kaisen, we can expect to see familiar faces return. Panda is confirmed to be alive, though currently in a dormant state, as revealed in the story’s epilogue. However, since the epilogue takes place when Yuka and Tsurugi were young, his fate over the years remains unclear. Fortunately, Modulo has shared updates on what happened to three specific characters.

3) Ui Ui

Ui Ui was a vital helper during the battle against Sukuna, despite being very young at the time. His ability to teleport was incredibly useful to the sorcerers, and he seemed to have a promising future. However, something changed him – possibly due to witnessing the dark side of the Jujutsu world years ago, or for reasons we don’t yet know – and he’s now obsessed with violence. Before the fight between Dabura and Yuka Okkotsu in Chapter 15, Ui Ui arrived with a group of children who looked like him and asked Dabura to show them the true horrors of Jujutsu.

2) Nobara Kugisaki

Nobara briefly appeared in Chapter 13 before the fight began. Jujutsu sorcerers were urgently searching for Yuji Itadori, realizing they weren’t strong enough to handle the Simurians. When their attempts to locate him failed, they started asking people who knew him personally. Nobara, now a well-regarded sorcerer, shared that she hasn’t seen Yuji since attending Hana Kurusu’s funeral, though the exact time that was remains unclear.

1) Yuji Itadori

Yuji experienced the most tragic outcome of anyone in the story. Because of the power he gained to fight Sukuna, he stopped aging, and watched all his friends grow old and pass away, leaving him devastated. He was also deeply saddened by the fact that he couldn’t grant his grandfather’s last wish – to die peacefully surrounded by loved ones. After Hana Kurusu died, he withdrew completely from the world of Jujutsu and those he cared about, vanishing without a trace.
