Everyone loves a good superhero story, and there’s more of it than ever. Each year brings new movies, TV shows, and video games featuring our favorite heroes. While some highly anticipated games like the *Wonder Woman* and *Black Panther* titles were unfortunately cancelled, there are still plenty of exciting Marvel and DC games scheduled for release in 2026 and beyond. From action-packed shooters like *Marvel Rivals* to team-based mobile games like *DC World Collide*, fans have a lot to look forward to.
Even though some superhero games were cancelled this year, fans still have several new titles to anticipate in 2026. While most of the announced games are based on Marvel characters, DC fans will get at least one new game next year. The upcoming games offer a variety of experiences, including fighting games, story-driven adventures focusing on single heroes, and a fun LEGO title. Here’s a list of all the confirmed Marvel and DC games currently scheduled for release in 2026, ordered by their expected release timeframe. Keep in mind that none of these games have official release dates yet.
Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra

In *Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra*, players can control either Black Panther or Captain America as they work together to fight Hydra. This is the first Marvel game being developed by Skydance New Media.
Details about this game have been limited, and it was originally planned to launch in 2025. Following a delay, it’s now expected to release in early 2026. If there are no further setbacks, it could be one of the first big superhero games of the year. While Skydance hasn’t announced which systems it will be available on, it’s probably coming to multiple platforms.
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight

DC Comics games have been inconsistent in quality, but Batman games consistently stand out as some of the best. Recently, a new game, *LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight*, was announced. It will let players experience storylines from classic Batman films and feature gameplay inspired by the popular *Batman: Arkham* series.
Warner Bros. Games, TT Games, and LEGO have announced that the next LEGO Batman game will be released in 2026. While the exact release date within the year is still unknown, the impressive visuals and level of detail shown in the trailer suggest the game is on track. Titled *LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight*, the game will be available on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.
Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls

Players with PlayStation 5 recently had a chance to try out an early version of Arc System Works’ upcoming Marvel game, *Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls*. Although the game has a lot of content planned for next year, it won’t be fully released until 2026.
Marvel Tokon has revealed a strong lineup of characters and given fans a good look at the gameplay, building excitement for the title. This superhero fighting game features a vibrant comic book art style, making it a great choice for beat ’em up fans who prefer a more modern look than pixel art. While a specific release date hasn’t been announced, Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls is currently slated for release on PC and PS5 in 2026.
Marvel’s Wolverine

Fans were starting to worry after a long wait, but Insomniac Games has finally released a new gameplay trailer for *Marvel’s Wolverine*. The trailer showcases the game’s intense action, and has many excited to experience Logan’s story. While there’s no firm release date yet, Insomniac is currently targeting a release in fall 2026.
I’m so hyped for *Marvel’s Wolverine*! It’s going to be amazing playing as Wolverine and getting into all his action. Plus, they’ve said other X-Men characters will be showing up, which is awesome. It’s a big Marvel release to look forward to in 2026, though it’s initially going to be exclusive to PlayStation 5, just like other games from the team behind it.
As a huge superhero game fan, it looks like we currently only have four Marvel and DC titles officially slated for 2026. Of course, things could change! We’ve seen games like *Marvel Cosmic Invasion* and *DC Worlds Collide* come out of nowhere and launch in the same year, so there’s always a chance of surprises. But right now, these four games are what we have to get excited about for 2026, and honestly, that’s pretty awesome!
