Every New Game Coming to PS Plus Extra and Premium in March 2026, Ranked

The PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium games for March 2026 are a little less extensive than usual, and include one game that was previously available. However, the selection still features a lot of really good games across different genres, offering something for almost everyone. The best part about services like this is that they make it easy to try new games without a big commitment.

Here’s a look at the eight PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium games launching in March 2026, and how they compare. All of these games will be available on the service starting March 17th.

8) The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria

While previous Lord of the Rings games from Monolith Productions were excellent, The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria falls far short. The game focuses heavily on crafting and mining, but offers very limited options for building and customization. It also features excessive and simplistic combat against unchallenging enemies. Although the crafting genre seemed promising for a Lord of the Rings game, Return to Moria ultimately feels like a missed opportunity.

7) Madden NFL 26

Okay, so Madden NFL 26 is still a football game, let’s be real – that means it won’t appeal to everyone. But honestly, it’s a solid step up from the last few years, which were kinda rough. They really improved the tutorial, and a bunch of little tweaks to how the game looks and feels make this the best Madden I’ve played in a while. It’s not perfect, but it’s definitely heading in the right direction.

6) Astroneer

Astroneer is a survival and crafting game that’s been popular for nearly ten years, and for good reason. The beginning can be challenging, as you carefully manage oxygen and power. However, once you gather enough resources, the game truly opens up, letting you explore and completely reshape planets as you mine them. It’s similar to a more focused version of No Man’s Sky, offering an immersive experience with a user interface that feels naturally integrated into the world. Astroneer delivers a similarly adventurous and creative feeling, but with a brighter, more cheerful style.

5) Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 feels like a throwback to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 days of gaming. It offers a variety of ways to play, including a story campaign, cooperative missions, and competitive multiplayer – a style of diverse modes that was common in that era. It’s a return to a time when games offered more than just one way to experience the action.

Despite a few minor gameplay issues, the game generally feels good to play, successfully capturing the power fantasy of being a Space Marine and battling through waves of enemies – often rewarding you with armor pickups, similar to recent DOOM titles. The single-player campaign is decent, but the co-op campaign is better designed, allowing for more complex missions that the game’s AI companions can’t handle. Overall, there’s a lot to enjoy here, and the game has improved consistently since launch thanks to ongoing updates from Saber Interactive, with even more content planned for the future.

4) Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection

While Tekken 8 is currently struggling to regain its footing, Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection remains a standout title, even two decades after its release. This portable version of Tekken 5 offers a robust single-player experience with enjoyable character customization and Ghost Battle modes, so it’s not just focused on competitive play. Dark Resurrection feels like a spiritual successor to the popular Tekken 3, retaining familiar gameplay but with refined fighting mechanics that aren’t overly complex. It established a new high point for the series and continues to be celebrated as one of the defining games for the PSP.

3) Blasphemous 2

While there are many search action platformers available, Blasphemous 2 manages to shine. The game’s incredible pixel art vividly depicts a decaying world corrupted by cruel gods and fanatical followers. It incorporates familiar elements of the Soulslike genre without becoming overly reliant on them. The combat can be challenging due to frequent unavoidable damage and a slightly awkward parry system, but the impressive boss battles often make up for these issues. Though it doesn’t reinvent the genre, Blasphemous 2 succeeds thanks to its distinctive style and beautiful artwork.

2) Persona 5 Royal

When Persona 5 came out worldwide in 2017, it was a huge hit, and the expanded version, Royal, only increased that positive reception. Royal keeps everything players loved about the original – its vibrant visuals, compelling story, and strategic battles – while adding refinements and improvements throughout. These changes are extensive, touching almost every aspect of the game, and ultimately make Royal the best way to experience this acclaimed title.

1) Metal Eden

Metal Eden is a standout first-person shooter released in recent years. While it clearly takes inspiration from DOOM, it truly gets what made that game great. The game cleverly limits ammo, encouraging players to constantly change weapons and tactics. You can finish off weakened enemies in a unique way: by extracting their core to either restore your health and power up a melee attack, or by using it as a makeshift grenade. Combined with fast-paced movement, challenging but rewarding combat, a fantastic soundtrack, and a constant flow of helpful upgrades, Metal Eden is a truly exceptional shooter that delivers excitement again and again.
