Peacock
Okay, so I was scrolling through a list of movies and TV shows I’ve seen, or want to see, and it’s quite a mix! There’s everything from classics like The Shawshank Redemption and The Shining to action flicks like Mad Max and Robocop. I’m a big fan of the How to Train Your Dragon series, and I’ve enjoyed some of the mystery/thriller stuff like The Game and Misery. I also spotted some newer titles like House of Gucci and The Tomorrow War. There’s even a bit of everything – comedies like Shrek Forever After, dramas like The Green Mile, and even some older TV like Chrisley Knows Best and a series called Accident, Suicide, or Murder. It’s a pretty random collection, honestly, but it reflects my taste – I like a little bit of everything!
Paramount+
Okay, so Paramount+ is really throwing down the gauntlet with their movie selection! As a critic, I’ve been scrolling through the list, and it’s…eclectic, to say the least. We’re talking everything from suspenseful thrillers like Zodiac and What Lies Beneath to comedies like Zoolander 2 and the entire Jackass franchise – yes, all of it. There’s a surprising amount of 90s/early 2000s horror with the Scream and Scary Movie series, which will definitely appeal to a certain audience. I also spotted some classics like Serpico and High Noon, alongside more recent fare like Spider-Man: Homecoming and The Martian. It’s a real mix of genres and eras – you’ve got dramas like Dead Man Walking, action flicks like Undisputed, and even a bit of romance with Like Crazy. Honestly, there’s something here for almost everyone, though you might have to sift through a lot to find your perfect night in. They’re clearly aiming for quantity and variety, and while it’s not all prestige cinema, it’s a pretty robust catalog overall. I was a bit surprised by some of the deep cuts, but hey, I’m not complaining! It’s a solid streaming library if you’re looking for a lot of options.
Prime Video
Here’s a list of movies and a TV series: 21 Jump Street (2012), 22 Jump Street, About a Boy (2002), Alice, Darling, Alien: Romulus, Along Came Polly (2004), American Gangster, Are We There Yet? (2005), Blackhat, Bohemian Rhapsody, Burn After Reading, Definitely, Maybe, Final Destination: Bloodlines (2025), Forrest Gump, Friday Night Lights (2004), Get On Up, It’s Kind of a Funny Story, Lamborghini: The Man Behind the Legend, Les Miserables (2012), Love Actually, Loving, Meg 2: The Trench, the Mission Impossible series (including II, III, and IV – Ghost Protocol), Notting Hill, Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping, Ray, Straight Outta Compton, Ted (2012) and Ted 2, The Angry Birds Movie, The Blues Brothers, The Boss (2016), The Breakfast Club, The Perfect Guy, The Story of Us, The Young Americans, Tully, Uncle Buck, Warcraft, Where the Crawdads Sing, Won’t You Be My Neighbor?, Zombieland: Double Tap, and Chicago P.D. (Seasons 1-12, 2014).
