Every Status Ailment Explained in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers
Each status effect can stem from elements in the environment or assaults and magic from foes. You’ll be able to identify which status effect is accumulating on you by checking the color and symbol displayed as an icon above Wuchang.
Status | Effect |

Paralysis (dark blue) | Deal reduced damage for a time. |
How to Cure Every Status Ailment in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers
Each status symbol on the screen needs to be completely filled up before it activates. The items below can either remove an already active status or prevent one from accumulating in the first place. If no additional status effects are acquired, the symbols will decrease naturally over time, preventing any status effect, and each status effect will also recover naturally as long as you survive for a sufficient duration.
Status Effect | Cure |
---|---|
Poise Break | Topaz Lotus Seeds, Cornucopia Elixir |
Blight | Emerald Lotus Seeds, Cornucopia Elixir (this ailment can’t be cured once it takes effect, as you immediately die once the icon fills) |
Corruption | Purple Camellias, Cornucopia Elixir |
Despair | Mind Lotus Seeds, Cornucopia Elixir |
Burn | Fire Lotus Seeds, Cornucopia Elixir |
Frostbite | Saffire Lotus Seeds, Cornucopia Elixir |
Paralysis | Cornucopia Elixir |
Resting at a shrine also heals any status effect.
In your hotbar, you can carry just four items at once, yet you can always delve into your inventory to access any item you possess. Since the menu doesn’t halt the game, it’s advisable to equip at least one item in your hotbar once you understand the typical effects of the location you’re in. While there are some exceptions, the majority of areas will contain enemies or environmental factors that all inflict the same status ailment. Many of the items mentioned earlier can be bought from merchants, so it’s wise to accumulate several for the ability to use one whenever necessary.
Elemental Resistances
Each armor piece comes with elemental resistance, making it more challenging for numerous status afflictions to take hold. Additionally, there are several consumable items available that momentarily lessen the accumulation of a status affliction on Wuchang; however, these items do not impact any existing build-up.
