Netflix is starting 2026 with a busy first week! They’ve revealed their January schedule, and new movies and shows will be added for five days straight. Many of these releases are expected to be popular, especially a highly anticipated original film that’s likely to be a big success.
Netflix’s major movie release for 2026 will be a romantic comedy based on Emily Henry’s popular novel, The People We Meet on Vacation, arriving on January 9th. Starring Emily Bader and Tom Blyth, the film follows two best friends who take an annual trip together and eventually realize their feelings for each other might be more than platonic.
This week, Netflix is adding several popular titles, including the Stephen King miniseries 11.22.63. Originally released on Hulu in 2016, the show was removed from that platform last year but is now surprisingly available to stream on Netflix, joining other Stephen King content already on the service.

Every Monday night, Netflix will stream WWE’s Raw, a live event featuring top wrestling stars, thrilling matches, and incredible athletic performances.
Tuesday, January 6th
In the third season of Pokémon Horizons, titled “Rising Hope Part 1”, Liko, Roy, Dot, and Ult team up to solve the mystery of a strange pink mist that’s making Pokémon sick around the world. The story picks up a year after the events that took place in the Laqua region.
Wednesday, January 7th
11.22.63: Season 1
In his first Netflix comedy special, Marcello Hernández: American Boy, Saturday Night Live comedian Marcello Hernández talks about growing up Latino, sharing hilarious stories about everything from wild family dance competitions to the memorable advice his mother gave him.
Unlocked: A Jail Experiment is a Netflix series that follows a sheriff in Arizona who tries a unique approach to managing an incarcerated population. He gives inmates more responsibility and freedom, and the series shows the surprising results.
Thursday, January 8th
His & Hers is a Netflix series about a divorced couple – a police officer and a journalist – who find themselves competing to solve the same murder. Each one suspects the other might be involved.
Love Is Blind: Germany Season 2 is a Netflix series where singles try to find love and build lasting relationships without ever seeing each other.
