Borderlands 4 is now available, but many players have found the quests and puzzles to be fairly simple and straightforward. The game doesn’t typically present complex challenges, and it clearly guides you with obvious markers. One of the puzzle types you’ll encounter is the evocarium, and this guide will walk you through how to solve them.
Evocarium Puzzle Guide in Borderlands 4
The game features several ‘evocarium’ puzzles, but they’re easy to solve. You just need to activate the puzzle and then find the glowing orbs nearby.
Use the map marker to find the pedestal and activate it. Once activated, the pedestal will send out bright yellow lights that show you exactly where the nearby orbs are located.
Okay, so early on in the first area, you’ll find something like what’s in the picture. Basically, the game *tells* you exactly where all the orbs are! It’s super straightforward – you just follow the light beams to find them. It’s a pretty simple setup to get you started.
In this case, you’ll notice one of the orbs is immediately visible from your starting point. If you get turned around, go back there and scan again to reorient yourself.

The collectible orbs are placed at varying heights, but are always accessible. You can find them by looking around, or by using the game’s new movement abilities to reach higher areas. Collecting all the orbs rewards you with SDU tokens, which can be used to increase either your storage or ammo capacity.
That covers everything you need to understand about these puzzles. They’re very straightforward, so you shouldn’t have any difficulty solving them. Just be sure to carefully check all the corners if the ball seems oddly placed.
