As a huge fan of the unexplained and the supernatural, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming new seasons of “Expedition X” and “Expedition Bigfoot” on Discovery Channel! The network has always been a go-to source for me when it comes to exploring the natural world, but their recent foray into the realm of the supernatural has only added to the intrigue.
Discovery Channel is well-known for its engaging shows about the natural world, but it has recently broadened its horizons to delve into the unknown and supernatural. Series like “Expedition X” and “Expedition Bigfoot” have been leading this exploration, venturing into the unexplored corners of our world in search of answers to humanity’s greatest enigmas. These intriguing programs will be back in August with even more captivating content, premiering on Discovery at 9 p.m. ET on Wednesday, August 14th.
According to the press release, the new season of “Expedition X” begins at 9 p.m. ET. In this adventure, explorer Josh Gates and his team, including the newest member Heather Amaro, a third-generation paranormal researcher, and scientist Phil Torres, explore the world’s most bizarre supernatural mysteries in search of answers. Their journey takes them beyond the known and into the heart of the unexplained.
In the first episode of the new season, Josh Gates teams up with Torres and Amaro in West Virginia to explore one of America’s most haunted sites: Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum, an old psychiatric hospital with a tragic past and numerous stories of ghostly encounters. Throughout their spine-tingling investigation, they uncover shocking truths about the asylum’s dark history and confront unsettling entities beyond our comprehension.
During this current period, Torres and Amaro explore various intriguing phenomena. They delve into Scotland’s Loch Ness to scrutinize recent findings on the legendary sea creature. In Savannah, Georgia, they dare to spend a night amidst restless spirits in haunted areas. They investigate reports of a seven-foot monster, referred to as the skunk ape, lurking in Florida Everglades. They venture into Michigan’s forests to search for a bloodthirsty beast rumored to be part of an astonishing government secret – and much more!
At 10 p.m. ET, a new season of “Expedition Bigfoot” begins, with Dr. Mireya Mayor, Bryce Johnson, and Russell Acord leading an elite team of researchers back into the field in their quest to uncover evidence of the legendary Bigfoot. They head back to Northern California’s Lost Coast, known for its high Bigfoot activity, for their first-ever expedition to discover the cryptid’s breeding grounds. Armed with advanced technology, they believe they’ve found a nesting site and are determined to locate a family of Bigfoots before they’re discovered.
On August 14th at 9 p.m. Eastern Time, Discovery will debut the latest seasons of Expedition X and Expedition Bigfoot.
