3 Games Confirmed for In-Depth Look During January 22nd Xbox Developer Direct Showcase

Xbox recently announced that Playground Games will be sharing more details about two of their upcoming games. First, they’ll be giving fans a much closer look at the highly anticipated reboot of Fable, the beloved fantasy RPG. Originally planned for release in 2025, the game is now expected sometime this year. Playground Games will showcase the world of Albion in stunning detail and, for the first time, reveal actual Fable gameplay – something many gamers are excited to see.
Alongside the new Fable game, Playground Games will also reveal Forza Horizon 6. Fans have been eagerly awaiting this next installment in the popular racing series, as the last main game was released in 2021. Playground will share a first look at gameplay during the Xbox Developer Direct, and the game is currently scheduled to launch in 2026.
Xbox has officially announced that Game Freak, the studio behind Pokemon, will be revealing more about their new action RPG, Beast of Reincarnation. The game follows Emma and her dog, Koo. It was originally shown last July, and we haven’t seen much of it since, but it’s still planned to launch this year.

The three games highlighted currently only have a general release timeframe of 2026. We might get more specific release dates during the upcoming Xbox Developer Direct, which will also showcase deeper dives into the games themselves. The event is happening on January 22nd at 1 PM Eastern Time and will be live-streamed on Xbox’s official YouTube and Twitch channels.
