Fall Into Reading With These Cozy Autumn Books

The weather is changing and so is our TBR list.

For certain, many books releasing this autumn hold much appeal – ranging from pulse-pounding thrillers, grand epic fantasies, and endearing romance novels that you can enjoy while sipping on your favorite autumn drink.

Yet, summer isn’t completely done just yet. Just like Bolu Babalola might say, the heat is rising with “Sweet Heat,” the much-anticipated sequel to his/her successful novel “Honey & Spice,” releasing on Sept. 3. Years have passed since the fiery and unexpected split between Kiki Banjo and Malakai Korede. However, their lives take an interesting turn when their dearest friends announce their engagement and appoint them as Maid of Honor and Best Man respectively. Although they initially put aside their differences to attend the wedding ceremony, old feelings resurface, and the chemistry between them is undeniable – even though Kiki tries hard to suppress it before it rekindles.

Simultaneously, Reese Witherspoon is expanding her impressive career portfolio by collaborating with Harlan Coben for the thrilling book “Gone Before Goodbye”, set to release on October 14. In this story, a former Army doctor steps into the glamorous realm of private medicine and encounters an uncommon client. However, she becomes the main suspect when her client vanishes mysteriously afterward.

Has Reese also found her next role? Only time will tell.

Fall is proving to be an exciting time in the fantasy world as both Callie Hart and James Islington are returning with the second volumes of their popular series. A year following Hart’s enthrallment of BookTok with “Quicksilver”, Saeirs and Kingfisher will face another danger to the realms in “Brimstone”, due out on Nov. 18.

In “The Strength of the Few,” set for release on November 11, Islington steps beyond Caten’s realm, where Vis, in three distinct universes, takes necessary actions to avert the impending end of the world as he understands it.

During the back-to-school period, it’s perfect for getting engrossed in a captivating high school drama. And that’s exactly what Elin Hilderbrand is providing, collaborating with her daughter Shelby Cunningham on “The Academy”, releasing September 16. This novel delves into the best, the worst, and the chaotic atmosphere at an exclusive boarding school.
