I have to say, Prime Video’s latest series is a massive hit! It’s quickly become one of their most-watched shows, and it almost took the number one spot – only one other series kept it from breaking records. Still, the numbers are incredibly impressive, and it’s definitely worth checking out if you haven’t already.
Amazon revealed that Season 2 of Fallout attracted 83 million viewers worldwide within its first 13 weeks. This makes it the second most popular returning series on Prime Video, only surpassed by Season 2 of Reacher. Interestingly, the release of Season 2 also boosted viewership of Season 1, bringing the total number of global viewers for the entire series to over 100 million.
Fallout Is a Major Success for Prime Video
Amazon’s Fallout series is a huge hit with viewers around the world, reaching 100 million people. Peter Friedlander, head of global TV at Amazon MGM Studios, praised the creative team at Kilter Films, Bethesda Game Studios, and showrunners Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner, as well as the cast and crew. He also noted that both seasons of Fallout are now among the four most popular launches the platform has ever had, and they’re excited to see the franchise expand.
The second season of the show proved to be a hit, especially after a shift in how episodes were released. While the first season made all episodes available at once for viewers to binge-watch on Prime Video, the second season released episodes weekly. As a result, the show stayed in the top 10 of original streaming programs for nine weeks. This success confirmed that the show met Amazon’s goals, leading them to renew it for a third season months before the second season even launched.
Fallout Was Given Universal Praise
As a huge movie and TV fan, I was really excited about Fallout, and it totally delivered! The first season got amazing reviews – a whopping 93% on Rotten Tomatoes, with almost everyone loving it. But season two? Even better! Critics gave it a 96% rating. Seriously, things are looking incredible for this series, and I can’t wait to see where they take it next.
The show’s first season launched in 2024 and quickly became popular with online viewers. Adapted from a well-known video game series, it’s set in a world destroyed by a nuclear war 200 years in the past, and follows the lives of those who inhabit it. The series stars Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, Walton Goggins, Kyle MacLachlan, Xelia Mendes-Jones, Frances Turner, and Moises Arias. The second season included appearances by several well-known guest stars, such as Clancy Brown, Macaulay Culkin, Kumail Nanjiani, and Ron Perlman.
