Fan-Favorite Disney Animated Series Releases Entire First Season For Free (And Here’s How to Watch)

Disney is famous for its movies, but the Disney Channel has also launched many incredibly popular animated series over the years. Fans still love shows like Phineas and Ferb, Kim Possible, DuckTales, The Proud Family, and American Dragon: Jake Long. To get everyone in the Halloween spirit, Disney has just released the complete first season of a fan-favorite series, and we’re here to tell you how to watch it.

I still remember when Gravity Falls first came out back in 2012! It totally hooked me with the crazy, supernatural adventures of Dipper, Mabel, and Grunkle Stan up in the Pacific Northwest. Over its two seasons, it became a real obsession for so many people – the humor was just amazing, and the story was so cleverly layered with mysteries and little clues. Though the show wrapped up in 2016 with a pretty satisfying ending, it’s popped up in cool ways since then. And now, Disney’s given us all a fantastic Halloween gift – they’ve put the entire first season on YouTube! You can check it out – it’s a great way to revisit all the fun.

Gravity Falls’ Life Post-Finale

Although there haven’t been any announcements about a new season or spin-off of Gravity Falls, several characters have continued to appear in other shows. One notable example is Chibiverse, a Disney animated series that brought back Stan, Mabel, Dipper, and many other characters for fun crossover episodes. While Chibiverse is geared towards younger viewers, it’s a great way to revisit these beloved characters – and many of them are voiced by the original actors!

The crossover event Chibiverse wasn’t the only time characters from Gravity Falls, Amphibia, and The Owl House appeared together. In 2024, the creators of these shows collaborated on a line of merchandise featuring their characters teaming up to defeat Bill Cipher, the villain from Gravity Falls. Also last year, Disney discussed the possibility of a sequel series with Gravity Falls creator Alex Hirsch.

In the summer of 2024, Meredith Roberts, a Disney executive, revealed they were discussing a possible revival of Gravity Falls with creator Alex Hirsch. She mentioned he was working on a new book with Disney related to the show, and they were also producing some short-form content. While a return for Mabel, Stan, and Dipper isn’t confirmed, Disney is clearly still considering the possibility.
