The popular crime show, *FBI*, is currently trending again on streaming platforms. Viewers are revisiting older episodes following the recent Season 8 premiere, which revealed what happens to the character Isobel Castille.
According to FlixPatrol, the show *FBI* is currently sixth in viewership on Paramount+ in the US. It’s also popular on iTunes, currently ranking seventh. The season finale featured Isobel collapsing due to a brain bleed, requiring emergency surgery and leaving viewers concerned about her fate.
Mike Weiss, the showrunner and producer, recently discussed the challenges of portraying the aftermath of a major event. He joked about having ‘fiendish’ writers to help, but explained they wanted to realistically show both the physical and emotional consequences of the injuries and the danger faced by the New York Field Office. He added that the team had just overcome a significant internal conflict, essentially a power struggle.
As a big fan of *FBI*, I was relieved to see Isobel make it out alive in Season 8’s premiere, “Takeover.” But sadly, the episode also confirmed something I’d been dreading: Agent Dani Rhodes, played by Emily Alabi, didn’t survive her injuries. It wasn’t a *total* surprise, as the actress had already announced she was leaving the show. It’s always tough to see a character go, especially in a series created by a legend like Dick Wolf and Craig Turk – *FBI* first hit CBS back in 2018, and I’ve been hooked ever since.
The show boasts a talented cast including Missy Peregrym, Zeeko Zaki, Jeremy Sisto, Ebonée Noel, Sela Ward, Alana de la Garza, John Boyd, and Katherine Renee Turner. *FBI* follows the dedicated agents of the New York field office as they work to protect the city from threats like terrorism and organized crime. Central to the series is Special Agent Maggie Bell, who comes from a family with a strong history in law enforcement and is deeply committed to her team and the people she serves.
FBI Season 8 Promises More Drama
She works with Special Agent Omar Adom Zidan, a New York native and West Point graduate. He previously worked undercover with the DEA before being recruited by the FBI. They’re supported by Dana Mosier, the team’s leader, Jubal Valentine, her second-in-command, and analyst Kristen Chazal, who later joins them in the field. Over time, the team’s members change and grow.
The latest episode of *FBI*, Season 8, Episode 2, titled “Captured,” promises excitement. When valuable paintings are stolen during an international art exchange and a security guard is killed, the team jumps into action to find the artwork. At the same time, Maggie seeks assistance from a friend to help build profiles of potential suspects.
New episodes of FBI Season 8 air Mondays on CBS.
