With the FC 26 release date approaching, we’re set for another year of new player ratings.
This period has been filled with unexpected events and changes, and it’s likely that we’ll see shifts in the leaders among the players since their rankings are continuously rising and falling.
When will the player ratings for FC 26 be released, and who could possibly claim the number one spot in this year’s edition?
FC 26 player ratings: When will the best players be revealed?
It’s still uncertain when we’ll get to see the player ratings, but considering the timeline of the FC 25 release, it’s likely that the initial ratings will be unveiled sometime between late summer (around late August) and early fall (early September).
Usually, Electronic Arts (EA) does not disclose all the player ratings simultaneously. Instead, they tend to unveil the highest-rated players from each significant league gradually.
In August, there could be rankings for the leading Premier League players; however, it may take a few more weeks before we see rankings for players in the Bundesliga or Ligue 1, and so on.
FC 26 player ratings predictions: Who will be top this year?
Of course, since we haven’t received any information about player rankings yet, we can merely guess who the leading players might be this season. However, we do have some predictions.
After a triumphant title season with Liverpool, it’s likely that Mohamed Salah, currently rated at 89, is primed for an upgrade given his remarkable goal and assist statistics in the previous season. Similarly, there might be grounds for increasing the rating of 89-rated Virgil van Dijk.
A significant boost might be on the horizon for Paris Saint-Germain’s key player, Ousmane Dembélé. Currently rated at 86 Overall in Football Club 25, Dembélé has been instrumental in PSG’s success in Ligue 1 and the Champions League, which could lead to a significant upgrade.
It’s expected that both Jude Bellingham and Jamal Musiala might make the list, but their performances this season haven’t been as exceptional as those of players like Salah and Dembélé, so they may not receive the highest rankings.
In the world of women’s soccer, Aitana Bonmatí, who recently clinched a La Liga title with Barcelona and advanced to the finals of both the Champions League and Women’s European Championship, is poised to keep her impressive overall rating of 91.
Although Manchester City and Real Madrid have underperformed this season, standout individuals like Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappé have excelled. As a result, they might hold onto their current 91 Overall Ratings, but may lose a point or two to accommodate more dynamic players in the rankings.
It’s quite possible that Rodri, who has been sidelined since the start of the 2024-25 season due to injury, may experience a drop in his performance points this season as a result.
