The highly anticipated Star Wars: Galactic Racer is getting a physical release worldwide, meaning you’ll be able to buy a copy in stores.
Secret Mode is teaming up with Plaion to release a physical version of their game. Plaion will be responsible for distributing the boxed copies when the fast-paced, sci-fi racing game comes out later this year.
It means that fans of physical media will be able to add one more PS5 game to their collection.
Considering this is Star Wars, a physical disc release feels appropriate – the franchise is popular enough to justify going beyond just a digital version.
Plaion Partners CEO Craig McNicol is excited to announce a partnership with Secret Mode to release Star Wars: Galactic Racer as a physical copy worldwide. He believes this deal highlights Plaion’s strong relationships with retailers, skilled global team, and experience in physical game distribution. Plaion is dedicated to providing high-quality products to players globally and anticipates a successful launch.
As a big fan, I’m really hoping they’ll do some cool physical editions or extras for those of us who like to collect boxed copies, but right now, there’s no word on whether those are happening or what benefits you’d get if you bought one.
You can now add Star Wars: Galactic Racer to your wishlist on the PlayStation Store! If you prefer a physical copy, it will also be available in stores.
Fuse Games, a recently formed studio with former developers from Criterion Games, is behind the game, and their experience shines through in the gameplay footage.
