Feature: 26 Under the Radar PS5 Games to Watch Out for in 2026

So many games are released daily that it’s hard to figure out which ones are actually worth playing.

We’ve already covered many of the biggest upcoming PS5 games, listing over 40 titles. Now, let’s take a look at some exciting games that haven’t gotten as much attention.

We’ll likely update this as we get closer to 2026, since more exciting games will probably be revealed throughout the year.

Let’s have a gander.

MIO: Memories in Orbit (PS5)

I’ve been really excited about this new sci-fi action game from Focus Entertainment! The trailers always look amazing, but they’ve kept a lot of the details under wraps, which is intriguing. You play as a little robot exploring this huge place called the Vessel. From what I’ve seen, it seems like it’s going to hit all the right notes for a Metroidvania – exploring, upgrading, and backtracking – and when those games get it right, they’re incredible. Luckily, this one looks like it’s going to be great, and we don’t have much longer to wait and find out for sure!

Cairn (PS5)

Originally planned for release in 2025, the exciting new mountaineering game, Cairn, is launching in just a few weeks! Created by the developers of Furi and Haven, Cairn is a survival adventure where you play as a climber attempting to conquer Mount Kami – a summit no one has ever reached. The game features innovative climbing controls, scarce resources, and challenging routes, and we can’t wait to see players experience it.

ChromaGun 2: Dye Hard (PS5)

If you enjoy puzzle games where you see the world through the eyes of the character, ChromaGun 2: Dye Hard is definitely worth checking out. It’s a sequel to a popular game where you use different colors to solve puzzles and uncover the secrets of a bizarre sci-fi installation. Taking clear inspiration from Portal, it promises to be a clever and engaging experience, building on the strengths of the first game and taking everything to the next level.

Tokyo Xtreme Racer (PS5)

Tokyo Xtreme Racer brings back a classic arcade racing experience, and early signs are very promising! After launching on PC in September 2025, it’s coming to consoles in February. With thousands of glowing reviews on Steam, it looks like the wait will be worth it. If you’re a fan of fast-paced, visually appealing arcade racers, this game is definitely one to check out.

Tiny Bookshop (PS5)

Tiny Bookshop, a relaxing and charming game originally released for PC in 2025, is coming to PS5 this year. You play as the owner of a small, cozy bookshop, where you’ll get to know the town’s residents and discover their reading preferences. It’s a laid-back experience focused on decorating your shop, suggesting books to customers, and building relationships with the locals – there’s no rush to achieve specific goals.

At Fate’s End (PS5)

The team behind the beloved game Spiritfarer is now creating At Fate’s End, and that’s a great reason to pay attention! This side-scrolling adventure puts you in the role of Shan, a young woman traveling through a beautiful, imaginative world to reconnect with her family. As you encounter each family member, you’ll gain new abilities and uncover a heartfelt story.

Beast of Reincarnation (PS5)

Game Freak, the creators of Pokémon, are trying something new with their upcoming game, Best of Reincarnation. It’s a fantasy action RPG set in a ruined version of Japan, and it seems to play a lot like the popular ‘Souls’ series, featuring challenging combat against unusual creatures in realistic landscapes. Plus, you get a dog companion! Details are still limited, but the combination of this style of game and Game Freak as the developer is definitely interesting.

Beyond Words (PS5)

If you’re a fan of both word puzzles and the challenging, replayable gameplay of Balatro, you’ll want to check out Beyond Words. It combines those two ideas in a potentially exciting way. What’s especially interesting is that it’s created by Steve Ellis and David Doak, two of the developers behind classic games like GoldenEye 007 and TimeSplitters. While this is a new direction for them, their game development expertise is clear.

Bubsy 4D (PS5)

Bubsy games haven’t always been well-received, but the new game, Bubsy 4D, might finally change that. It’s being developed by Fabraz, the team behind the well-regarded platformers Demon Turf and the soon-to-be-released Demon Tides. Bubsy 4D focuses on giving players a lot of freedom and letting them move in creative ways, and it’s actually starting to get some positive attention – making it a game worth keeping an eye on.

Chronoscript: The Endless End (PS5)

Chronoscript: The Endless End immediately stood out to us with its distinctive visuals, and we’re eager to see if the gameplay lives up to the promise. In this action adventure, you play as an editor who finds themselves stuck inside a never-ending story. To get out, you’ll have to explore the story’s pages in a 2D side view, and the mansion it takes place in from a 3D perspective. It’s a bold concept, and we’re hoping the developers can deliver.

D-topia (PS5)

Annapurna Interactive, known for publishing excellent indie games, is bringing us a unique adventure game. The game takes place in a futuristic, sterile world where you’ll solve puzzles and help the people of D-topia stay content. While we don’t have a full look at the gameplay yet, we’re excited about the potential for a compelling story and clever puzzles.

DAMON and BABY (PS5)

We’re really intrigued by DAMON and BABY! It’s a game that blends exploration, fast-paced action, and twin-stick shooting in a really unique way. The game features a large world and an interesting set of abilities, making it one to keep an eye on if you’re looking for a fresh experience.

Darwin’s Paradox (PS5)

We didn’t expect Konami to release a platformer like Darwin’s Paradox – it’s reminiscent of the Oddworld series and features an octopus as the main character! You’ll use the octopus’s unique abilities to overcome challenging obstacles, and the game seems to have a lot of charm. If you’re looking for something different in the platformer genre, this one is worth checking out.
