Feature: Did Your Game Awards 2025 Predictions Come True? The Quiz Results Are In

Before The Game Awards 2025, we asked Push Square readers to guess what major reveals would happen at Geoff Keighley’s show. Now, we have the results of their predictions…

We asked everyone to answer 20 simple questions – yes or no – about upcoming announcements, release dates, and some fun predictions.

This year’s event wasn’t full of huge surprises, but we did learn some interesting things from the results. Keep reading to see if your predictions were correct!

Geoff wasn’t even wearing a tie this year, never mind a bow tie. We’re off to a good start.

Question 2: Will Marvel’s Wolverine get a new trailer during the show? (2,013 votes)

49.83% Yes
50.17% No

This was an incredibly close call in our predictions quiz – the votes were almost evenly split! Luckily, only seven votes separated ‘No’ from ‘Yes’, and it turns out the ‘No’ votes were right: Marvel’s Wolverine didn’t appear as predicted.

Question 3: Will Phantom Blade Zero’s promised release date be sooner than 1st May 2026? (1,887 votes)

35% Yes

Question 4: Will new Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls characters be revealed? (1,857 votes)

61% Yes

Well, that’s disappointing! We were expecting to see new character reveals for Marvel Tokon during the show, but unfortunately, they weren’t included at all. It seemed like a perfect fit, but it didn’t happen.

Question 5: Will Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 win the most awards of any nominated game? (1,975 votes)

7% No

Correct!

Most of you were right to be excited about Expedition 33! It received more awards at The Game Awards than any other game in the show’s history.

Question 6: Will Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 be revealed? (1,937 votes)

33% Yes

You were right to think we might see news about the final part of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake at The Game Awards. However, it looks like that last installment is still quite a ways off from being released.

Question 7: Will more than five different Muppets appear during the show? (1,846 votes)

18% Yes
82% No

You really nailed it with your confidence this time, and it worked out great! Even though Geoff is really into those famous puppets, only Miss Piggy and one of the dog characters actually appeared. We’re not puppet experts, so we’re still learning.

Question 10: Will Kratos appear at any point during the show? (1,893 votes)

47% Yes
53% No
