Platinum Trophy #12: Burly Men At Sea
Date Earned: 30th November 2018
Dopamine Index:
This latest update on Going Platinum will be brief, and that actually suits the game well, considering it’s a shorter experience.
You can earn all the Trophies in Burly Men At Sea fairly quickly – even in an afternoon if you’re efficient – but it’s not a simple, trophy-farming game. It’s actually a well-made experience, despite being completable in a short time.
No, this is a proper game, albeit a little one, and very enjoyable it is too.
As a fan, I’d describe it as a point-and-click adventure, but it’s way more relaxed than most. Forget tricky puzzles – you basically just tell a story as you go! It’s all about the narrative, not figuring things out.
The game’s story changes based on your choices, leading to many different endings. Luckily, it doesn’t take long to play, so experiencing all the possibilities is enjoyable and rewarding.
The trophies are mostly tied to experiencing different story endings and key moments. Plus, each story is delightful, frequently humorous, and generally enjoyable.
This game is incredibly relaxing and perfect if you’re looking for something lighthearted. It’s full of fun, silly scenarios involving three bearded sailors, and features charming, simple graphics that really work well.
Cheers, Burly Men at Sea.
Oh, and happy Valentine’s Day.
