Let’s have a look at what’s in PS Store’s The Game Awards sale.
A Plague Tale: Innocence (PS5)
$9.99/£8.74 (-75%)
A Plague Tale: Innocence is a delightful surprise, offering a compelling historical adventure with memorable characters and clever stealth gameplay. While the fantasy elements and ending might not appeal to all players, Asobo Studio’s impressive use of the PlayStation 5 – including its DualSense controller – makes this a standout title for anyone who enjoys story-driven games.

A Plague Tale: Requiem (PS5)
$20.99/£17.49 (-65%)
A Plague Tale: Requiem is a significant improvement over the first game. It refines the gameplay you already know and loves, while adding incredible graphics on the PlayStation 5 and a captivating story. Though it doesn’t reinvent the wheel, it delivers a cinematic experience, much like games from Naughty Dog, that is definitely worth playing.
Baby Steps (PS5)
$14.99/£11.99 (-25%)
Baby Steps is a surprisingly touching game about a man overcoming his doubts and pushing forward. The challenging movement – walking and climbing – is genuinely enjoyable, and the game world is full of playful discoveries. It can be tough, and how much you enjoy it will depend on your willingness to keep trying, but it’s a rewarding experience for those who persevere.
Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden (PS5)
$23.99/£19.99 (-60%)
Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden delivers a compelling story and fun gameplay. While the limited number of enemy types and some technical issues prevent it from being a masterpiece, the fantastic side quests are engaging enough to make the less exciting battles worthwhile. This is the studio’s strongest game yet, and we’re hoping to see more games set in this world.
Blue Prince (PS5)
$19.49/£16.24 (-35%)
Blue Prince is a fascinating adventure that blends puzzle-solving with the replayability of roguelike games. This unique combination creates a surprisingly complex experience. The game is packed with puzzles and hidden secrets, ensuring each playthrough reveals something new as you explore the enigmatic mansion. Dedicated players will find a great sense of accomplishment in uncovering all of its hidden depths.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 (PS5)
$39.99/£35.99 (-20%)
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a classic turn-based RPG, drawing inspiration from both modern and older games in the genre. It tells a mysterious story about a team traveling through a magical world to stop the dangerous Paintress and her looming threat. The game boasts strong characters, a compelling story, and excellent music, but its combat system is a real highlight. Each character has unique abilities that work well with the team, and the addition of quick-time events and defensive maneuvers keeps battles exciting. While not perfect, Clair Obscur is a must-play for RPG fans.
Date Everything (PS5)
$19.49/£19.49 (-35%)
Date Everything is a unique dating simulator where you can build relationships – friendly or romantic – with surprisingly charming humanoid versions of everyday objects. Featuring fantastic artwork and voice acting from popular performers, this lighthearted visual novel offers something to appeal to all kinds of players.
Dead Island 2 (PS5)
$12.49/£11.24 (-75%)
Wow, after almost a decade of waiting, Dead Island 2 is finally here, and it’s fantastic! As a fan, I was a little worried, but it totally delivers. You’re thrown into a zombie-infested Los Angeles, running around these huge, open areas and just wreaking havoc with tons of different weapons and skills. The story isn’t groundbreaking, honestly, but the gameplay more than makes up for it. Seriously, if you just want a ridiculously fun, over-the-top zombie-smashing experience, this is it – you won’t be disappointed!
Dead Space (PS5)
$10.49/£10.49 (-85%)
Dead Space, one of EA’s most popular games, is back with a stunning remake for the PS5. This version retells the original story of Isaac Clarke as he navigates the ruined spaceship, the USG Ishimura, but it’s much more than just updated graphics. The remake features a fully connected ship layout, expanded areas to explore, and even voice acting for Isaac. Despite all the improvements, it still delivers the same thrilling Dead Space experience you love – a terrifying atmosphere, terrifying creatures, unique weaponry, and a captivating story.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 (PS5)
$29.39/£23.99 (-58/-60%)
Dragon’s Dogma 2, the highly anticipated follow-up to Capcom’s beloved action RPG, delivers thrilling combat and some of the most exciting monster battles you can experience in a game. Exploring the world is incredibly engaging, as you and your AI companions journey through dangerous landscapes—roads, caves, and ancient ruins—to complete quests. While the story could be stronger, Dragon’s Dogma 2 truly captures the feeling of a grand adventure.
Dredge (PS5)
$9.99/£7.99 (-60%)
Dredge is brilliant because of its simple yet captivating idea: you’re a fisherman earning money by catching and selling fish. You use your profits to improve your boat, making it better and more efficient. But there’s a spooky catch – the game creates a constant feeling of unease and dread. As you play, increasingly strange and terrifying things happen, making you hesitant to fish late into the night. It’s a creepy and addictive game that’s hard to put down.
Dying Light 2 (PS5)
$19.79/£18.14 (-67%)
The first Dying Light game wasn’t a critical darling, but it was a commercial success on PlayStation 4. That created high hopes for this PlayStation 5 sequel, with the developers at Techland promising a story full of meaningful choices. While the final game didn’t quite deliver on those promises, it’s still a genuinely enjoyable open-world experience. If you’re looking for a game to simply switch off and enjoy some zombie-slaying action, Dying Light 2 is a great choice. The parkour system is fantastic, making getting around the world incredibly smooth and fun.
