February 2026 Movie Releases: Dracula, Scream 7, & More

While February 2026 will have slightly fewer movie releases than January, there are still some promising films coming out. 2025 was a strong year for movies overall, and 2026 is shaping up to be good too, with many major releases planned for later in the year. However, the first few months of 2026 will still offer a diverse selection of movies in theaters.

In January 2026, moviegoers were treated to a variety of films including the horror movies Primate, 28 Years Later: Bone Temple, and Return to Silent Hill, along with the thriller Send Help and the mockumentary The Moment. February 2026 promises more exciting releases, featuring a fresh take on the classic vampire story, the return of the Scream villain Ghostface, a dramatic adaptation of a controversial book, and a darkly comedic film starring Alexander Skarsgård, among other titles.

Dracula

Dracula, originally titled ‘Dracula: A Love Tale,’ is a fantasy horror film directed and written by Luc Besson. The movie is based on Bram Stoker’s famous 1897 novel and tells the story of Dracula (played by Caleb Landry Jones), who was once Prince Vladimir of Wallachia before turning away from God and becoming the vampire we know.

After his wife, Elisabetha, died in battle against the Ottomans, Dracula began a centuries-long quest to find her reincarnation. Four hundred years later, he realizes that Mina, the fiancée of lawyer Jonathan Harker, is the one he’s been searching for.

The movie Dracula came out in France in July 2025, and will be available in the US and Canada on February 6, 2026.

The Strangers – Chapter 3

Chapter 3 of The Strangers is a horror film directed by Renny Harlin. It’s the fifth movie in The Strangers series and concludes the recent trilogy. The film follows Maya (played by Madelaine Petsch) as she faces off against the masked killers in a final, terrifying battle for survival.

In this installment, Maya is determined to both survive and get revenge, a quest that will reveal unsettling truths. The Strangers – Chapter 3 premiered in Los Angeles in January 2026 and will be released in theaters on February 6, 2026.

Crime 101 is a thrilling crime story written and directed by Bart Layton, inspired by Don Winslow’s 2020 novella of the same name. The film centers around Mike Davis (played by Chris Hemsworth), a famous jewel thief who has baffled law enforcement with his robberies along the 101 freeway.

Davis is meticulously planning a major heist, but his scheme runs into trouble when it crosses paths with Sharon Colvin, an insurance broker played by Halle Berry. At the same time, detective Lou Lubesnick (Mark Ruffalo) thinks he’s figured out Davis’s methods and starts pursuing him before he can pull off another job. The cast of Crime 101 also includes Barry Keoghan, Monica Barbaro, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Nick Nolte, and Tate Donovan.

Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die is a funny and action-packed sci-fi movie directed by Gore Verbinski and written by Matthew Robinson. The film follows a man (Sam Rockwell) who journeys back in time. He gathers a group of people from a Los Angeles diner to help him fight a dangerous AI and prevent global disaster.

Haley Lu Richardson, Michael Peña, Zazie Beetz, and Juno Temple also appear in Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die. The film debuted at Fantastic Fest in September 2025 and will be shown at the 76th Berlin International Film Festival as a special presentation.

Wuthering Heights

The upcoming film Wuthering Heights has faced some criticism for its casting and how it appears to differ from the original book, based on the trailers. However, the filmmakers describe it as a new take on the story, not a direct adaptation. It’s currently planned to be released on February 13, 2026.

Becket is determined to get his inheritance, and he won’t let anyone – even family – stop him. The film How To Make A Killing also features Margaret Qualley, Bill Camp, Topher Grace, Ed Harris, Jessica Henwick, and Zach Woods.

Pillion

Pillion Will Be Released On February 20, 2026

Pillion is a darkly comedic and romantic drama directed by Harry Lighton, adapted from Adam Mars-Jones’ 2020 novel, Box Hill. The film centers on Colin (Harry Melling), a shy gay man, and his unexpected connection with Ray (Alexander Skarsgård), the charismatic leader of a motorcycle gang. Their relationship involves a power dynamic where Colin takes a submissive role, forcing him to confront his boundaries and ultimately grow as a person.

Douglas Hodge, Lesley Sharp, and Jake Shears also star in Pillion. The film premiered at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival to a very positive response, receiving a seven-minute standing ovation.

Scream 7

Scream 7 Will Be Released On February 27, 2026

The latest installment in the Scream series, Scream 7, is directed by the original creator of the franchise, Kevin Williamson. Picking up a few years after the last film, Scream 7 brings back Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell), who is now living a peaceful life with her family in Pine Grove, Indiana.

In the latest installment, Sidney Prescott and her family are once again terrorized by a new Ghostface killer, who seems particularly focused on her daughter, Tatum (Isabel May). This forces Sidney to revisit her traumatic past, with the hope of finally stopping the cycle of violence. The film also stars Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding, Joel McHale, McKenna Grace, and Anna Camp.
