As a dedicated fan of Final Fantasy 14, I’ve got some disappointing news that may affect many of us in our gaming community. It appears that the support for Final Fantasy 14 on Windows 10 devices will be discontinued by both Microsoft and Square Enix, starting October 14th. This means we’ve got a few more months to enjoy the MMORPG together before we may need to find alternative solutions come that date.
Following the announcement about Final Fantasy 14, numerous players initially worried they might no longer be able to enjoy the game on PC due to using Windows 10. This potential loss would have been heartbreaking given the countless hours these players have invested in the game. Fortunately, it turns out that Final Fantasy 14 will indeed continue to operate for users of Windows 10. However, there is some disappointing news to report.
As a gamer, I’ve got some news about Windows 10 and Final Fantasy 14. Microsoft is ending security updates for Windows 10, which means Square Enix might not be able to provide much help when it comes to support issues with the game. The good news is you can still play FF14 on your Windows 10 devices, but if problems pop up, don’t expect a quick resolution from the support team. They may offer assistance on a case-by-case basis, but overall, you might need to troubleshoot issues yourself. However, remember that the community has shown in the past its ability to find creative workarounds to problems, so that’s where I’d turn if I were you.

The ongoing updates for Final Fantasy 14 on PC are still uncertain in terms of how they will be impacted. If the game continues receiving updates, any problems that may arise might not receive adequate solutions from Square Enix. Ultimately, it remains to be seen how Final Fantasy 14 performs on PC moving forward, but those who refuse to switch to Windows 11 should be aware and prepared for potential issues in the future.
