Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Director Promises “A Bit More Concise” Structure in Part 3

Although the release date for the third part of *Final Fantasy 7 Remake* hasn’t been announced yet, creative director Tetsuya Nomura says they are still on schedule to reveal it. With *Final Fantasy 7 Intergrade* now available on Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch, and *Rebirth* already released, the development team has shared some hints about what players can expect in *Part 3*.

Director Naoki Hamaguchi explained that *Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth* has a more streamlined structure than the previous game. He responded to feedback about certain parts feeling lengthy, stating he doesn’t believe they were unnecessarily long. He suggests modern players are simply overwhelmed with content and expect things to wrap up quickly, leading to that perception.

We’re carefully planning how to finish the trilogy, making sure the story feels focused and doesn’t drag on. We’re aiming for a tighter, more streamlined experience.

Hamaguchi is also optimistic about the ending of *Rebirth*, which has been a point of discussion among fans. He believes it will satisfy both longtime fans of the original *Final Fantasy 7* and those who discovered the series through the *Remake* games, stating he’s confident everyone will enjoy it. Considering the critical success of the trilogy so far, Square Enix seems poised to deliver a satisfying conclusion.

While there’s no confirmed release date for *Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3*, it will be available on Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch 2, in addition to PlayStation 5 and PC. Despite some possible challenges with developing for the Xbox Series S, Square Enix has stated that going multiplatform hasn’t caused any issues. You can find more information here.
