We originally gave Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth on PS5 a perfect score because it delivered a fantastic story, and our opinion hasn’t changed. We still love playing it and sharing our enthusiasm with others, and even more people will soon be able to experience what we mean when it releases on Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series X|S on June 3rd.
Square Enix recently released a stylish new trailer offering a glimpse of what to expect from the game, especially for those who haven’t played it yet – and that’s understandable, considering how long it’s been available! It’s the second highest-rated game in the series for good reason. We think its biggest strength is how it revitalized a well-known story with new depth and complexity.
Players getting the new Switch 2 might need to make sure they have enough storage, as the game Rebirth could take up more than 100 GB. If you want to try it before buying, a free demo is available on both Switch 2 and Xbox Series X/S, and you can carry your progress from the demo into the full game.
