The complete *Final Fantasy 7 Remake* trilogy is heading to Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series X/S. *Part 3* will also be available on PC and PlayStation 5. The journey begins with *Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade*, launching January 22nd, 2026. This version includes the original game, the *Episode INTERmission* featuring Yuffie, and other improvements.
Okay, so here’s the cool news for Switch 2 and Xbox Series X/S players: Square Enix is letting us use these awesome ‘Streamlined Progression’ options. Basically, we can turn on stuff like always having full HP, MP, and doing max damage. We can even keep our ATB and Limit gauges topped off, and instantly max out our Materia levels! It’s gonna make leveling up and just generally playing so much easier, and I’m super excited to try it out.
One potential solution to make the game less repetitive is a feature called Easy Weapon Ability Acquisition. This would let players learn special skills from weapons after using them just once. While Square Enix hasn’t announced if this will be available on PlayStation 5 and PC, we’ll keep you updated.
While you wait, you can read our review of *Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade* on PC. Plus, check out this development update on *Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3* (and *Kingdom Hearts 4*) straight from Tetsuya Nomura himself.
Streamlined Progression is a new feature coming to Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade on Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox on January 22, 2026. It offers a different way to experience the game.
