Following many years of speculation and anticipation, Final Fantasy Tactics – The Ivalice Chronicles – a reimagining of Square Enix’s beloved turn-based strategy game – has finally arrived on PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. You can watch the launch trailer below.
Similar to Tactics Ogre: Reborn, The Ivalice Chronicles presents an updated version of Final Fantasy Tactics, featuring better graphics and smoother gameplay. A new ‘Squire’ difficulty level makes the game more accessible for beginners, and all conversations are now fully spoken. The game’s interface has also been completely redesigned.
However, if you prefer the original experience, it’s also available, featuring the language support from War of the Lions. Keep in mind, though, that this is a remake and doesn’t include all the content found in the PlayStation Portable version.
You can find a more in-depth look at Final Fantasy Tactics – The Ivalice Chronicles in our review. We scored it a nine out of ten, highlighting its engaging gameplay and improvements that make it easier to play.
