On January 22, 2026, the updated versions of Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade for Xbox Series and Switch 2 are set to release, according to Square Enix. Simultaneously, the game will also become accessible on PC through the Microsoft Store.
As a die-hard fan of Final Fantasy VII, let me tell you all about my latest gaming adventure – the enhanced version known as the Intergrade of FFVII Remake! This bad boy dropped on PlayStation 5 back in June 2021, and I was one of the lucky ones to grab it. If you missed out on PS5, don’t worry; it made its way to PC via Epic Games Store on December 16, 2021, and finally hit Steam on June 17, 2022. Just wait until you get your hands on the upcoming sequel, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, which is already out for PlayStation 5 and PC!
Here is an overview of the game, via Square Enix:
Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade: An Enlarged Edition of the Reboot Project
Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is an extended version of the initial installment in the remake series, featuring a supplementary narrative that unfolds alongside the main game events. In this enhanced edition, players will re-embark on the first act of the 1997 original, assuming the role of Cloud Strife, the esteemed protagonist, as he encounters unforgettable companions and navigates the dystopian landscape of Midgar. This climactic phase serves as a foundation for one of gaming’s most revered narratives. Having sold over seven million copies across PlayStation and PC platforms, this forthcoming release signifies its first appearance on an Xbox platform, granting a fresh cohort of players the opportunity to immerse themselves in 2020’s The Game Awards RPG of the Year for the very first time.
