Hulu has released a trailer for its new sci-fi action film, Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice. The movie stars Vince Vaughn, James Marsden, and Eiza González. The trailer shows a fast-paced story about two gangsters and the woman they both care for, struggling to get through a dangerous night. They soon discover the night is more complicated than they thought when a future version of Vaughn’s character appears, hoping to alter what happens.
Imagine a movie that blends the time-travel fun of Back to the Future with the intense action of John Wick, all delivered with a stylish flair reminiscent of Quentin Tarantino films like Pulp Fiction. The combination of Vaughn and Marsden is surprisingly effective! Director González clearly knows how to make action sequences look cool and clever – you might remember his work on the From Dusk till Dawn series or the WWII film The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare. And keep an eye out for a lot of familiar faces! The cast includes Keith David, Jimmy Tatro (22 Jump Street), Stephen Root (Barry), Lewis Tan (Deadpool 2), Ben Schwartz (Sonic the Hedgehog), Emily Hampshire (12 Monkeys), and Arturo Castro (The Menu).
I was so excited to hear about Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice knowing it comes from BenDavid Grabinski, the creative force behind Scott Pilgrim Takes Off and the Are You Afraid of the Dark? reboot. He actually first gained recognition by landing on the Hollywood Black List with an unproduced screenplay years ago, and honestly, after seeing Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice, it’s clear why. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever seen – a truly original movie that blends so many different styles and ideas. If he pulls it off, I think Grabinski will really prove himself as a fresh, daring voice in filmmaking.

Andrew Lazar, known for producing American Sniper, produced the movie, with Richard Middleton and Vanessa Humphrey serving as executive producers. You can start watching it on Hulu starting March 27th. Want to talk about movies you’re excited to see? Join the conversation on the ComicBook Forum!
