First Look at LEGO Tony Tony Chopper (as One Piece Scene-Stealer Gets Rare Honor)

Netflix’s live-action adaptation of One Piece is already a success, and a key reason is the character Tony Tony Chopper. Currently, the episode detailing Chopper’s backstory is the most popular, with many viewers finding it emotionally moving. As a third season is being made, there are two exciting updates about the reindeer doctor: he’s getting a LEGO figure, and a real-world organization has given him a special recognition.

Doctors Without Borders has announced that Tony Tony Chopper, the popular character from One Piece, is now an official supporter of their organization. Founded in 1971, Doctors Without Borders provides medical care in conflict zones and areas with limited resources. Given Chopper’s dedication to healing and saving lives, this recognition is well-deserved. Series creator Eiichiro Oda will celebrate with a special illustration in Weekly Shonen Jump. Plus, LEGO recently released a video previewing their new Tony Tony Chopper figure, which you can view below.

Lego’s Grand Line

It’s not surprising to see Tony Tony Chopper as a LEGO figure, considering LEGO released sets to coincide with the first season of the live-action One Piece on Netflix. These sets allowed fans to build iconic locations and ships from the series, like Arlong Park, Buggy’s Circus, and the Going Merry. With a second season on the way, LEGO has plenty of new opportunities to create sets based on places like Drum Island, Little Garden, and Loguetown. We’ll have to wait and see which locations they choose to build!

Tony Tony Chopper, the reindeer doctor from the live-action One Piece series, wasn’t brought to life solely by voice actor Mikaela Hoover. Much of his character was created using computer-generated imagery. Interestingly, when Chopper transforms into his larger “Yeti form,” a performer in a costume takes over the visual portrayal, while Hoover continues to provide the voice. With Netflix already planning a third season, Chopper is expected to return as Luffy and his crew journey to Alabasta. There, the Straw Hats will face the powerful Baroqueworks organization and its leader, Crocodile, and Chopper will need to use both his medical expertise and physical strength.
